As our next Operator, you will work under the direction of the production/shift manager (or more senior production operators), to operate automated production equipment and perform manual tasks in a clean room environment to produce biomaterial based polymers. You will produce these products consistent with production schedules, batch recipes, product specifications, area SOP's, QA policies and the standards of cGMP. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: weighing and charging raw materials, connecting and disconnecting auxiliary equipment, packaging in-process and finished materials. Responsible for accurate record keeping.
Responsibilities:
* Operate equipment as assigned, take readings, conduct inspections, etc. for utility, auxiliary, and mechanical equipment systems in non-clean room areas of the facility.
* Package products for shipment in accordance with applicable instructions and area SOP's, while maintaining area in a clean and orderly fashion.
* Provide back-up support as required to the Supply Chain area which includes: receive in-coming bulk and non-bulk raw materials, NPR materials, plant supplies, spare parts, etc. Update computerized records and move goods to the appropriate storage location.
* Perform lubrication and/or preventive maintenance activities as assigned, typically not requiring specialized or technical skills. Assist maintenance technicians or contractors in performing maintenance and repairs as required.
* Perform inspections as assigned of safety showers, eye-wash stations, fire extinguishers, and other EHS related equipment or systems.
* Clean process equipment and production areas to prevent product contamination.
* Work in a safe manner, in order to create an injury and accident free work place.
* Participate on problem-resolution and process improvement teams, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred; Understands basic math and apply to weighing bulk materials or using an analytical scale.
* 1+ years' experience in a production or manufacturing operations preferably in an automated batch chemical processing environment.
* Experience in a pharma or medical device facility, clean room environment is highly preferred.
* Operational Knowledge of processing equipment - reactors, pumps, tanks, filters, heat exchangers, etc.

Job Responsibilities
Lead the process safety program for the facility: implement, manage, continuously improve.
Establish a safety culture across the facility based on reviewing and meeting goals, continuous risk reduction and prevention of process safety incidents.
Monitor, evaluate and report PSM performance at the facility and advise management on further improvements, working collaboratively with the Total Process Safety Technology Center in the North American region to align on PSM Programs and Goals.
Be the first point of contact between the facility and stakeholders: corporate Total Process Safety Technology Center, corporate EHS auditing group, third party process safety consultants, risk engineering, etc.
Participate in the facility's Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs); depending on the level of proficiency, the role may also facilitate the PHA.
Provide PSM training to different layers of plant leadership and engineers at the facility.
Conduct PSM self-assessments; participate in PSM Compliance Audits and assessments.
Organize and maintain technical process safety documentation.
Leads and facilitates local PSM Risk Assessments and related action plans.

Job Requirements

As our next Maintenance Mechanic, you will maintain and troubleshoot the repair of electro-mechanical industrial production equipment, and support equipment which includes: computerized Building Maintenance System (BMS), air handlers, chillers, air compressors, roof exhaust fans, Roof HVAC package units, vacuum pumps, diaphragm pumps, and centrifugal pumps.
Responsibilities
* Preventative maintenance (PM), troubleshoot and repair of electro-mechanical industrial production equipment and building support equipment.
* Utilize safety procedures: NFPA 70E Arc Flash and PPE requirements, OSHA requirements to include LOTO, fall protection and Basic Safety precautions and procedures.
* Troubleshoot mechanical issues, electrical issues and instrumentation using Multimeters, Process Meters Clamp on Amp Meters and repair as needed. Identify parts needed for repair of equipment, fabrication projects and spare parts.

* Familiar with utilities equipment: air handlers, water heaters, low pressure boilers, air compressors, HVAC package units (understand basic refrigeration circuit). Universal refrigeration license is a plus.
* Experience in a pharma or medical device facility, clean room environment, or food production is highly preferred.
