They shall not assume responsibilities within the scope of practice of a registered nurse. The registered nurse supervising employed unlicensed students and/or graduates prior to licensure is referred to Rules 410-8-.08(2) and 410-8-.08(3) regarding job responsibilities. Assist the Registered Nurse in any job duties outlined in the unlicensed extern's scope of practice (see Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. R. 410-8-.08). Collaborate with other members of the patient care team to discuss, evaluate, and monitor the patient. Effectively and consistently performs delegated nursing skills and treatments, not to exceed the scope of unlicensed nursing personnel, as prescribed by the physician or as indicated by the patient's condition under the supervision and direct observation of the assigned, approved RN. Alerts the nursing staff and medical staff observe changes in the patient's condition. Performs associated duties, responsibilities, and tasks relating to attendance, safety, infection control, and performance improvement as part of CRHS's efforts to provide quality care and services. Presents a professional image to CRHS's nursing co-workers, clinical and medical staff members, patients, families, and visitors. Attends professional development programs and clinical refection meetings every 6 weeks. Performs other related job duties as assigned.
