Job Summary Core and Main (“CNM”) is immediately seeking an organized and experienced head of construction & facilities to support our real estate expansion strategy and facility management across the US and Canada. This position will report to the Senior Director, Real Estate. This position will oversee a team of construction managers and key third party relationships essential to the growth and continued operations of the real estate portfolio. This role requires balancing hands-on project management with senior-level leadership and program management while working to position the function for consistency, predictability, and scalability. Review pay applications, sworn statements and lien waivers for compliance and accuracy. Additional duties as may be required to support relocations, remodels, and facility repair and maintenance projects or programs as needed. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field Minimum 7-10+ years of directly related experience in a construction manager role with industrial and light industrial warehouses Minimum of 3 years' experience and demonstrated ability in running a national construction program and negotiating/managing critical vendor partnerships at scale. Experience and proficiency implementing and leveraging construction management software Ability to read and understand construction contracts, specifications, surveys, blueprints and other construction related drawings Proficiency in understanding zoning, construction schedules, building (IBC) and fire suppression code (NFPA), OSHA, ADA, and tenant improvement buildout scopes. Accurately and safely load & unload trucks as needed. Accurately and timely perform cycle counts as required.
