    Role Victory Millwork is looking for a Day Shift Production Supervisor Monday - Friday 6:45am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday, overtime as needed on Saturday Hourly rate: $24.51 - $27.89 DOE To support the stated purpose and goals of Victory Millwork through exemplary leadership in production management that promotes a culture of safety, exceptional quality, productivity, continuous improvement, and customer service. This will be realized through effective communication, consistent execution of standard operating procedures, developing people and refining production processes. Responsibilities Scope: Reports to Director of Operations Supervision: 3-6 working leads and 6-18 production team members SAFETY & COMPLIANCE Foster an environment in which personal and team safety are the first and highest priorities by providing effective training, standard operating procedures and accountability of every crew member. Promote a "zero injury" focus. TEAMWORK & COMMUNICATION Train and monitor the Production Leads to job expectations Create and maintain a work environment that acknowledges individuals while building a team mindset. Facilitate active collaboration between work centers to meet production requirements and promote continuous improvement. Positively engage crew members to better understand their capabilities and potential, provide consistent feedback, and coach them to reach their highest performance level. Clearly communicate production goals and expectations to crew members, support their efforts to achieve them and provide feedback regarding their performance. Communicate daily production schedules and priorities to Production Leads to create effective workflow and ensure on-time order completion. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT & PROBLEM SOLVING Encourage crew members to contribute and discuss ideas to improve manufacturing processes through creative thinking and fact-based problem solving. Understand and help monitor production targets to identify problems with and opportunities for process improvement. QUALITY & SERVICE Consistently demonstrate an attitude that emphasizes the importance of product quality and pride in workmanship. Administer quality standards for the work centers. PRODUCTIVITY & PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT Manage the efficiency of startup and shutdown of work centers Review daily production performance of work centers to target Lead problem solving efforts to address production abnormalities at the work centers. Manage time and attendance records for leads and approve time off requests for team members Plan daily/weekly machine staffing. Establish company production (capacity) standards for work centers Understand and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for process improvement. With Maintenance Leadership, coordinate preventive maintenance requirements, repairs and tooling replacement to optimize uptime. Competencies Experience requirements: 3 years supervisory experience 5 years manufacturing experience Working with the following daily: Millwork industry/wood products manufacturing, Construction Experience with molders, rip saws, table saws, planers, chop saws CNC experience Operations Management Continuous improvement systems - Six Sigma, Lean, Theory of Constraints Project Management Hours: Day Shift Monday - Friday 6:45am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday, overtime as needed on Saturday Reporting: Production Manager Compensation: Hourly rate: $24.51 - $27.89 DOE As a standard part of the employment application process Victory Millwork may request employment references.
