Core network engineer job description

Become a key member of a team participating in the Integration and Verification of a future Intel CPU. This position requires and Engineer with broad Physical Design and STA skills, coupled with leadership skills necessary to drive methodology and to collaborate effectively with multiple functional teams within the CPU design team.

We are looking for a highly motivated and technically savvy experienced engineer to drive the timing convergence for Full-Chip models. As a FC Design Engineer, you will perform constraints management and STA verification. You will also be responsible for coordinating collateral handoffs between the FC Design team and other functions within back-end design such as Clocking, Power Delivery and Partition synthesis/APR. You will drive timing closure and provide collateral for SOC drops.

Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. The Core Engineer I performs tasks related to deploying new technologies and upgrades to the current Core network infrastructure. Up to half of the expected responsibility of this position involves analysis, design, development, and testing.

Performs implementation of new hardware and/or software as it relates to Core Engineering projects. Maintains the lifecycle management environment within the Data Center and Local Offices; Assists with upgrades to the Core Infrastructure and all-inclusive IP routing Assists with the creation of Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation for configuration templates, method of procedures, network diagrams, knowledge base articles, bill of materials and support documentation. Conducts training for new technology integration, technology upgrades, new product design, and implementation to relevant Cable One team members. Analyzes project requests to estimate time and cost. Works as part of a project team to determine requirements, risks, and limitations for each project scope. Performs on-call duties, customer equipment escalations, and overnight network changes as assigned

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or university, and at least three years related experience. Equivalent experience may substitute for education requirement. Previous working background in an MSO (Multiple System Operators) in the cable industry preferred. Network design and implementation project experience in one or more of the following areas preferred - routing, co-location architecture, Optical Networks. Experience with the following vendor products preferred: Routing platforms from Juniper & Cisco. Experience with IPv4, IPv6, DWDM, SDN, and other relevant technologies and/or standards preferred Associate-level networking certification preferred. Proficiency in networking essentials, especially related to routing. Proficiency in Optical Networking. Knowledge or experience in automation and scripting preferred Ability to manage vendor relationships. Ability to troubleshoot escalated issues in relation to backbone infrastructure

**Description**

You will work at the intersection of NLP, Machine Learning and Software Engineering. The position requires proven hands-on NLP experience in conjunction with Software Engineering. The role spans the entire gamut of NLP: text processing, empirical experimentation for building state-of-the-art NLP models, productizing NLP features for child safety on Apple platforms. The role has plenty of opportunities for collaboration with several engineering teams at Apple that work on machine learning and NLP. You will be responsible for further advancing or building new capabilities in natural language understanding to keep children safe on Apple's devices and services.

**Education & Experience**

M.S. or PhD in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or a related field (mathematics, physics or computer engineering), with a focus on computer vision and/or machine learning or comparable professional experience
