About the Role:
As a CertifiedMedicalAssistant at CoreLife, you will support our providers and patients throughout the clinical journey-from rooming patients and gathering vitals to providing education and supporting care coordination. What You'll Do:
Prepare patients for their appointments by collecting vitals and medical history
Perform point-of-care testing, venipuncture, and RMR assessments
Accurately document in the EMR, update patient records, and assist with medication refills and lab result communication
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
Assist with front desk support and patient scheduling as needed
Support emergency response protocols and ensure infection prevention policies are followed
Play an active role in improving patient experience and outcomes

POSITION SUMMARY: Provides hands on resident care, proper and timely administration of medications and treatments, accurate verbal and written reports and rapid response to any/all emergency situations.

Recognize and respond to the needs of residents. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties of the CertifiedNursingAssistant include, but are not limited to:
* Stays familiar with the person centered care plan for each resident assigned and incorporates changes to the care plan into the patient care routine as directed by supervisor.
* Follows federal and state standards of care within scope of responsibility.
* Offers daily assistance or performs tasks necessary for hygiene, hydration, repositioning and mobility and comfort of each resident. * Documents daily care, including food, therapeutic snacks as ordered and liquid consumption per facility protocols and plan of care as required. Documents bowel and bladder activity.
* Weighs residents using upright, bed or chair scale and records accurate weights per care plan or supervisor instructions.
* Records intake and output per protocol.
* Reports any concerns, complaints, reports of abuse, neglect or misappropriation to supervisor immediately.
* Reports any unusual resident behaviors, signs of depression or changes from usual routine or mood to supervisor immediately.
* Reports any physical symptoms, changes in bowel or urine changes/sudden decline in awareness or abilities to supervisor immediately.
* Disposes of soiled linen and clothing per facility protocols and maintains a safe and clean environment in resident rooms and bathrooms.
* Uses universal precautions and follows special instructions for infection control and isolation.
* For safety of both employee and resident, uses gait belt, shower chairs, lifts, scales, electric controls on beds and equipment responsibly, appropriately and correctly for tasks as trained. Reports any malfunctioning, fraying or broken equipment immediately to supervisor.
* Answers call lights promptly.
* Observes privacy and dignity of residents and does not share resident medical or psychosocial information with other residents, visitors or any unauthorized persons.
* Develops and maintains a good working rapport with other departments with the faculty.
* Consistently demonstrates professionalism and confidentiality.
* Participates in quality assurance program and attends appropriate QA committee meetings as directed by supervisor.
* Serves on other facility committees as requested.
* Attends all mandatory in service including annual fire, OSHA and CDC program.
* Maintains current CPR/BLS certification.
* Practices in adherence to national standards for electronic health care transactions and code sets, unique health identifiers, and security, including passwords and user ID codes, in compliance with the Privacy Act and HIPAA. Notifies Administrator, or Director of Nursing in the absence of the Administrator, of any known violations.

Summary:

Current CPR certification

At least six months experience as a CNA or HHA (in homes or facilities)
Be listed in good standing on the Oregon Aide Registry
Achieves a minimum score of 80% on competency exam (Home Health Aide Test)
Meets passing criteria on DEARS Ethics test
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job

Instructors provide quality instruction for student learning and maintain a positive learning environment in the class. The major emphasis for instructors is on teaching and evaluating students in the course. Classes are taught in a variety of formats and at several different locations, as well as online. Instructors also communicate with students between classes and are responsible for several administrative duties such as reporting on academic activity and submitting final grades.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Planning and teaching classes as assigned and as outlined in the course descriptions and course syllabi and departmental guidelines.
2. Beginning and ending all classes as scheduled and covering all relevant learning outcomes for each course.
3. Maintaining academic standards and classroom behavior to ensure an environment conducive to learning, communicating with students weekly, and answering student emails in a timely manner.
4. Evaluating students using a variety of methods and informing each student of scores received on each assessment in a timely manner.
5. Using Cleveland State email for administrative purposes and responding to student questions via Cleveland State email in a timely manner.
6. Meeting deadlines for all administrative requests such as submitting personnel paperwork, acknowledging contracts, academic activity and assessment reports, and final grades.
7. Submitting requests through the department chair, program coordinator/director, or lead teacher for equipment, supplies, textbooks, and other instructional aids.
Qualifications:
Associate degree or higher in MedicalAssisting plus CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) credential and a minimum of 3 years' experience working in an ambulatory care setting performing administrative and clinical medicalassisting duties.
