Documents inspection results by completing reports & logs. Inputs data into quality database. Utilize various inspection tools to verify part compliance to technical drawings. Interpret technical drawings to develop inspection approaches that ensure part compliance Collaborate with machinist team members to verify first article and production compliance to technical drawings. Confer with engineers, machinists, and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve issues, or provide technical information. Assists in development of inspection fixtures to ensure minimum measurement error during inspection Visually inspect parts for workmanship Ability to use a variety of Measuring and Test equipment such as Bore gages, Profilometers, Height gages, Micrometers and Optical Comparators. Maintains equipment and an organized clean area by performing tasks such as daily PMs on inspection equipment and ensuring work a kept clean and organized. Understanding of common industry specifications (material, coating/plating, NDT, etc.) Support all company initiatives as identified by management and in support of the Quality Management Systems (QMS). Assist in internal, customer, and third-party audits, as required. Complies with industry regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors. Department: House-wide needs at McKay-Dee Hospital Additional Details: This position will support inpatient pediatrics, the emergency department, the adult ICU when consulting with children of adult patients, imaging, NICU, and other areas of the hospital that work with children and adolescents. This position will work with a team of 3 to support the needs of McKay-Dee Hospital. It is also part of the greater Intermountain Health child life department that offers even more support and resources when needed Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified. Documentation of a successfully completed 600-hour internship supervised by a Child Life Specialist Child Life Certification from Association of Child Life Professionals (ACLP). Documentation required. OR eligible for Child Life Certification (to be obtained within 15 months of hire date). Experience with pediatric patients in a medical, hospital or behavioral health setting Experience in Child Life Core Competencies which include but are not limited to 1) Establishing supportive relationships 2) Meeting needs of child and family members, with a focus on social, emotional, and cognitive development. 3) Providing education to and communicating with children, families, and team members 4) Providing coping support and comfort management 5) Guiding children in therapeutic play techniques 6) Ongoing assessment and written documentation of clinical care Computer experience in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases or similar applications.
