Responsibilities
The administrative specialist/human resources designee coordinates day-to-day telephone and personnel communication systems. This position designee maintains the branch office, processes accounts payable and assists with medical supply management. The administrative specialist/human resources assists the branch director with ensuring that branch employees are supported related to important human resources needs and information, in addition to keeping electronic personnel files up to date.
Qualifications
Education and Experience (ESSENTIAL):
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have demonstrated experience in the use of a computer, including typing and clerical skills.
Education and Experience (DESIRED):
Six months experience performing health care office functions is preferred.

· Cisco Phone System - must be logged in and “on ready” throughout the work shift, taking inbound calls whenever necessary.
· Strong, professional communication and collaboration with VPC, Program Admissions, Care Connection Center Intake, and Sales teams for timely dispatching of all VPC / Admission visit resources.
· Quality - Calls (audio/video) are recorded, monitored, and reviewed for training, quality and performance feedback and recognition purposes.
· Supports VPC / Admissions team to exceed program goals.
· Establishes a rapport and maintains an effective relationship with all internal and external customers.
· Enters accurate information to support data integrity in computer applications.
· Responds accurately to all questions received regarding services provided.

Qualifications
* A Bachelor's degree and/or five or more years of experience in hospital maintenance and/or construction within a healthcare setting are required.
* A minimum of five years of supervisory experience in healthcare-related facility equipment and systems operations, including expertise in chiller systems, steam boilers, hydraulic systems, building controls, electrical systems, and air handlers.
* Broad knowledge of TJC, OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other federal, state, and local regulatory agency standards is essential.
* Membership in a state or national healthcare engineering association is preferred.
* Preferred: Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM).
* A valid driver's license is a prerequisite.
* May be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and/or night shifts.
* May be required to work on religious and/or legal holidays on scheduled days/shifts.

As a Correctional CMA, you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide care to the individuals in residence. Working within a controlled environment, where security is top priority and the days are never dull, you will have various duties to keep you engaged including assisting physicians and other healthcare professionals with examinations, taking patient histories, vital signs, supporting administrative tasks, etc. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical needs.

Responsibilities
As a CMA, you will play a critical role in our continued mission to provide quality healthcare that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Duties and responsibilities may include and not be limited to:
Clinical Duties:
Performing patient assessments, interviewing patients about current health problems, medication history
Taking and documenting vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, weight, PPDs, EKGs and basic laboratory tests
Staggered intermittent safety checks
Administering medication (under the direction of a physician)
Providing basic wound care, performing routine blood drawing procedures and routine clinical tasks
Assisting with patient hygiene, ambulation and dressing changes
Assisting providers during patient examinations and procedures
Providing basic patient education and instructions
Administrative Duties:
Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments
Maintaining inventory of medical and office supplies
Answering phones, emails and other forms of communications

Requirements / Qualifications
CMA Certification - Completion of an accredited medical assisting program
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Be able to obtain CPR certification, if required
Office Lab Assistant License (for Nevada only)
Able to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
Display integrity, professionalism and be able to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements
Must pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screening
Physical Capabilities:
Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
