The Companion Animal Hospital at Cornell University is seeking a dedicated Animal Care Attendant to play a vital role in supporting patient care, hospital operations, and a dynamic teaching environment. The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Assist veterinarians and LVTs with animal restraint for medical procedures (e.g., blood sampling, IV catheter placement)
* Walk patients outside and collect urine/fecal samples as needed.
* Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas in the Companion Animal Hospital, including hallways and floors
* Perform daily dust mopping and mopping; strip, wax, and polish floors as needed
* Clean and disinfect exam rooms between clients and throughout the shift
* Remove trash and properly dispose of biohazardous waste
* Clean feces, urine, vomit, and other animal body fluids as required
* Record daily inpatient census in INC/ICU and ward areas when assigned
* Restock wards, treatment areas, and workrooms with appropriate supplies
Employees working in the hospital must receive the pre-exposure rabies prophylaxis vaccination series prior to or immediately after hire, which will be paid for by the department.
Required Qualifications
* High school diploma with at least 6 months of relevant experience, including companion animal handling in a veterinary setting and custodial/housekeeping or disinfection work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
* Knowledge of basic infection control practices, including proper use of disinfectants and adherence to established procedures
* Ability meet the physical demands of the position including but not limited to being able to safely lift or move 50 lbs. with assistance and perform physically demanding tasks such as standing for extended periods, kneeling, and maintaining steady positions
* Basic computer skills, including the ability to accurately enter information into patient records
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
* Strong professional communication skills when interacting with students, veterinary technicians, clinicians, and clients, with good judgment and prioritization skills
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment while maintaining attention to detail and demonstrating initiative

The Quality Improvement Analyst promotes quality claims management by collaborating with other leaders to detect improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.

The Public Health Nutrition Concentration
The PHN concentration integrates research, teaching, and hands-on practice to equip its graduates with the skills needed to positively impact the health and well-being of vulnerable populations around the world. Led by interdisciplinary faculty, PHN offers an array of courses on nutritional epidemiology, food insecurity, community nutrition, clinical nutrition research, and environmental and societal factors affecting food supply and policy.
The PHN has five dynamic and rigorous educational paths which are: 1) in-person Master of Public Health (MPH) track that can be done either part-time or full-time; 2) fully online, asynchronous MPH; 3) combined MPH/Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD), in which graduates qualify for dietetic internships to take the Commission of Dietetic Registration exam; 4) Advanced Certificate in Public Health Nutrition comprised of five PHN courses, and 5) 4+1 BS/MPH dual degree, a joint program with NYU Steinhardt. The flexibility of each program allows students to tailor their learning to their specific interests, skill set, and career objectives. At the core of all PHN activities is an emphasis on equity and food justice, so graduates will be equipped to assume leadership roles in both local and global settings.
Master of Public Health
The MPH in Public Health Nutrition, which is offered in a full-time, part-time, or fully remote format, comprises core courses, culminating experiences, and electives. The core courses provide traditional learning in subjects such as global environmental health, epidemiology, and health care policy. The culminating experience is an internship during which students complete a minimum of 180 hours of public health service, either through an applied practice experience seminar or an integrative learning experience seminar. For the elective portion of the degree, students can select from any graduate-level courses taught at GPH given they have completed the necessary prerequisites.
Combined MPH/DPD
This program is exclusively for students seeking to become registered dietitians (RD). The DPD requirements and the associated dietetic internship are the courses needed to take the Commission on Dietetic Registration exam and become an RD. Students are not required to complete the DPD requirements and dietetic internship before enrolling in the MPH program. Rather, the combined MPH and DPD allows students to complete DPD courses while matriculated in the MPH program. The dietetic internship begins after completion of all DPD courses. This educational track is one of two programs that include courses taught at NYU GPH and NYU Steinhardt.
Advanced Certificate in PHN
This is a 15-credit track during which students complete two core concentration courses and three electives within PHN. The certificate includes credits that satisfy the MPH degree requirements, so students in the other concentrations of the MPH program may also enroll.
4+1 BS/MPH Program
The 4+1 BS/MPH program is a five-year dual-degree program during which students concurrently work toward an MPH in PHN while they earn a BS in Nutrition from NYU Steinhardt. This is an expedited program that enables students to earn both degrees, while requiring less time and lower tuition than is needed to complete each program separately. This streamlined program is for highly motivated students with aspirations of assuming leadership positions in public health nutrition settings that require a systemic approach to addressing health disparities. In January 2024, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics will adopt a minimum requirement of a master's degree for entry-level registered dietitians. Therefore, this program is expected to be in high demand in the coming years because it will allow students to achieve their goals of being an RD in a shorter amount of time.

**POSITION SUMMARY**
RAPID began as a program of two national surveys of households with children under age 6 and the child care workforce. Led by Philip Fisher, Stanford Center on Early Childhood Director, the RAPID National Survey administers monthly surveys on a rapid-cycle schedule, and has collected data from more than 25,000 households and 13,000 child care providers in all 50 states. The survey and data inform policy, advocacy, academic, parent and practitioner audiences on the experiences, challenges, and strengths of parents of young children and child care providers. The goal is to support parent- and provider-driven policies and programs that equitably and effectively serve families, providers, and young children.
RAPID is now implemented in community, state, and national contexts, working in partnership with local and state organizations. The RAPID datasets are extensive and quickly growing, and include both quantitative and qualitative data.
This position will include online survey administration, data processing and cleaning, and overall study administration activities on a fast-paced schedule.
All members of the study team will play an integral role in providing timely and important data on the experiences of families with young children. This Research Coordinator will work collaboratively with RAPID's Project Leads and research team to incorporate new measures into the online survey instruments, administer the monthly surveys and collect data, and prepare those data for analysis. The Research Coordinator will maintain standardized documentation and follow all data cleaning and data management processes as outlined in the team's Manual of Procedures. The Research Coordinator may also be responsible for survey operation logistics, including managing participant payments, recruitment, and communications. Strong organizational skills, ability to handle multiple priorities, and excellent orientation to details are vital to success in this position. The Research Coordinator must be willing to work closely and collaboratively with other team members. The Research Coordinator must have experience working in fast-paced academic research settings and be able to communicate clearly with team members and other stakeholders about the work they are responsible for carrying out.

We are seeking a Research Application Developer for the Yale School of Management to work closely with faculty members. This role is an integral member of the Yale School of Management (SOM) Behavioral Lab research staff with primary responsibility for developing research-specific applications to facilitate data collection for Marketing and Organizational Behavior faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students, translating study ideas into working code. Reports to the Senior Associate Director, Initiative on Leadership and Organization with a dual report to the Manager for Application Development.
The Research Application Developer will work closely with the PIs/Faculty who are facing many challenges, e.g., assisting them, or working independently with commercially available software and writing code to create capabilities not included in the packages, enabling data collection as these labor-intensive projects can demand. Developing web apps for study subjects to interact with, often mimicking existing sides, apps, and portal that we are unable to or prevented from collecting data. The role needs to create a front and back end, enabling PIs to see how subjects interact and make judgments and decisions. Examples are clones of Wordle, CrunchBase, Glassdoor, and Gmail. These need to be built so they can be dependably deployed to subjects and securely collect valid, replicable empirical findings. This role will create a fully virtual lab where invited subjects from targeted populations can interact with each other in real time.
Executes all phases of the application development process, including gathering requirements, designing readable code, carrying out unit testing, generating usable documentation, managing data storage, and supporting and maintaining projects post-deployment. Develops both the front-end and back-end aspects of each application and ensures the secure and accurate collection of data from end users into a database.
This position is responsible for project management of applications developed through third-party vendors. Gathers requirements, holds meetings with stakeholders, and coordinates with supervisors to establish new projects. Manages the vendor relationship through regular meetings and ensures that any projects are delivered successfully with respect to budget and timeline. Responsible for maintaining the final product delivered by the vendor and works with the vendor to resolve any critical issues.
Essential Duties:
1. Develop and maintain study-specific applications, along with supplementary web services or processes, for the purpose of accurately and securely collecting various forms of response data from users. Consult regularly with Marketing and OB researchers to gather and validate requirements, utilizing existing knowledge of psychological experimentation and behavioral science. Translate gathered requirements into readable, well-documented code. Adhere to modern standards of ethical and secure data collection outlined by the Yale Central Institutional Review Board (IRB). Manage all other aspects of application development, including creating design specifications, mapping out data flows and structures, managing data storage, performing unit testing, troubleshooting, deploying the application, and monitoring end user feedback. Troubleshoot and maintain existing projects, upgrade and modernize when necessary. Perform complex systems analysis and programming tasks requiring advanced techniques. Define system objectives and prepare systems design specifications to meet user requirements and satisfy interface demands. Provide routine daily maintenance, code review and updates of existing sites and applications of all sizes.
2. Manage technical projects for the Marketing and OB researchers that are developed through third-party vendors, maintain and support final deliverables. Launch projects by gathering requirements, meeting with stakeholders, interfacing with other Yale SOM departments, reviewing potential bids, and selecting a correct vendor for the task. Work with external vendors during the discovery and requirements gathering process to provide information about the needs of the requested application and background information about Behavioral Lab research operations. Coordinate with Yale SOM IT for compliance and integration. Ensure that ongoing projects stay on budget and on time by regularly meeting with external vendors and reviewing progress. Maintain and support the final deliverables provided by external vendors, including coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT) generating documentation for end users, resolving critical bugs, and managing and monitoring the application post-deployment.
3. Develop non-study-specific applications to support staff and lab operations when necessary.
4. Contribute technical knowledge and expertise to the staff to help streamline and improve lab operations.
Required Skills and Abilities
1. Extensive proficiency with front-end development including UI/UX design, HTML5/CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. Proficiency with server-side development including PHP and Node.js.Proficiency with relational databases (e.g. SQL) and non-relational databases (e.g. MongoDB).
2. Ability to leverage knowledge of psychological experimentation and behavioral psychology to translate research ideas into working code.
3. Solid analytical skills with ability to assess complex problems and translate them into a functioning solution.

What We Need

The Equine and Nemo Farm Animal Hospital seeks a veterinary technician who can demonstrate a team-based approach and mindset. The ENFAH Surgery Technician will provide high quality technical support to equine and farm animal patients, their owners and referring veterinarians, as well as clinicians, other staff and students.
The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Works closely with the surgeons, anesthesiology, imaging and other members of the surgical team to provide a safe comfortable environment where the patient receives the highest standard of care
* Assists in management of the daily flow of surgeries which includes, but is not limited to, communicating across the services, preparation of the surgery rooms with equipment and supplies, assisting with the anesthetic inductions, patient positioning, surgical clipping and preparation, and transporting patients to surgical suite.
* Assists the surgeons, surgery house staff and students with scheduled and emergency surgical procedures.
* Acts as circulating technician during procedures
* Maintains and troubleshoots equipment malfunctions during surgical procedures
* Ensures that patient charges entered in the Hospital's Information System are complete and accurate.
Employees working in the hospital must receive the pre-exposure rabies prophylaxis vaccination series prior to or immediately after hire, which will be paid for by the department.
Required Qualifications
* Associates degree in Veterinary Technology from an AVMA accredited institution or equivalent experience, plus New York State Licensure or eligibility to be licensed.
* At least 1 year of relevant experience preferably in an OR setting.
* Excellent communication, team building and organizational skills.
* Able to work with multiple large animal species, not limited to equine and bovine.
* Must be able to work in an often fast-paced and demanding environment, while paying close attention to details.
* Must have the ability to meet the physical demands of the position, which include, but not limited to, stressful situations, prolonged standing and kneeling, lifting and restraining animals that may exceed 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous experience in a medical or veterinary office preferred.
* Knowledge of medical terminology, veterinary medicine, medical records systems and scheduling systems
* Previous experience with scheduling and greeting patients/clients
* Experience in a high-volume caseload environment

The Cornell University Hospital for Animals provides 24-hour care for pets 365 days of the year. The schedule for this position requires flexibility to ensure that adequate patient care and service needs are provided without interruption or exception. Cross-training with other services to support business continuity will be expected as time/business need allows. If business needs change, a position/individual may be realigned within the CUHA to a different shift or service.

The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage all components of farm and animal care operations of the Teaching Dairy including oversight of approximately 175 adult cattle and 150 calves and heifers.
Ensure the animals' feeding, housing, milking, breeding, observation, and treatment needs are met through compliance with protocols, policies, and specifications of the Ambulatory section, Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, dairy cooperative, and other relevant stakeholders.
Supervise and lead UAW staff members, which involves prioritizing tasks and projects, determining daily work assignments, preparing and coordinating weekly work schedules.
Mentor and foster the development of those under your supervision by providing ongoing training and feedback.
Required Qualifications
Associate's Degree in agriculture, animal sciences, or related field with at least 4 years of experience in the management of an animal facility or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated supervisory experience.
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Ability to prepare and maintain an effective budget.
Basic computer skills.
Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position including the ability to lift 100 lbs. and be able to push, pull, lift, carry, stretch, and reach on a regular basis.
Must possess a NYS CDL CLASS B license with air brake endorsement or the ability to obtain within 3 months.
Must pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
Must complete and maintain an updated Driver Qualification File.
Demonstrated skill in understanding of cultural differences.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in agriculture, animal sciences or related field.
Education and experience applicable to the management of dairy cattle specifically.
