Presbyterian is seeking a highly skilled and credentialed Advanced Cardiac and Vascular Sonographer to perform complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures involving the heart and vascular system. This role requires expertise in both echocardiography and vascular imaging, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and patient experience.
Cardiovascular sonographer (echocardiographer/ vascular sonographer) independently performs a variety of diagnostic cardiovascular ultrasound procedures. This position is multimodality with the intermediate to advanced knowledge of both cardiac and vascular anatomy, physiology, and disease states. All examinations are performed within standard protocols defined in the lab. The sonographer performs examinations in both inpatient hospital settings and outpatient clinic setting. Cardiovascular images are digitally acquired, and measurements obtained per protocols. Sonographer ensures patient safety through use of procedure protocols and policies. Continues to advance and evolve their technical knowledge in their field, intermediate skill level pursuing more advance skills and procedures.
Clinical and technical expert in the field who demonstrates increasing level of excellence through clinical practice, teaching/mentoring abilities, and leadership qualities. Mentors other technologists.

Responsibilities:
Perform advanced echocardiographic studies including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms.
Conduct comprehensive vascular ultrasound exams including carotid duplex, peripheral arterial and venous studies, and abdominal vascular imaging.
Collaborate with cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to interpret findings and support clinical decision-making.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely reporting of results.
Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment in accordance with manufacturer and hospital standards.
Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuing education.
Qualifications:
Graduate of a two year Allied Health Training Program, Ultrasound Technology
preferred or
Bachelors program in health science (including, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing) or graduate of an accredited program in cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography)
preferred.
Experience:
10 years or more experience inpatient/outpatient cardiac ultrasound.
Credentials:
New Mexico State Licensure under the New Mexico Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program (NMRTT)
Current BLS required.
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI: RCS) or Registered Diag. Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS: RDCS)
and Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI: RVS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (ARDMS: RVT) or have promoted up with years of experience and assigned a Lead OR resource sonographer.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Perform back-up machine operation and perform cupping duties for production line assignments.

A day on the job looks like this:
Counting and verifying inventory for accuracy
Following all documented inventory processes and procedures
Inputting necessary information into warehouse management system
Ensuring inventory in pick locations is ready for picking and packing (i.e., not damaged, correctly labeled)
Processing damaged and repair items and preparing them for disposition
Analyzing data and identifying inventory trends such as velocity
Verifying physical stock counts and correcting discrepancies
Investigating and reporting reasons for discrepancies
Operating equipment to count and verify items not at ground level
Performing any/all additional tasks assigned by supervisor/manager
Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Previous experience operating material handling equipment
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
PC and/or WMS systems experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where multitasking is expected
Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills

Job Summary
Create, manage, and participate in a variety of learning environments including a semi-annual fashion show and activities that provide opportunities for students to develop to their fullest potential and achieve their learning objectives. Participate collaboratively and professionally with other faculty and staff to promote the general well-being of the department and the College, and collective interest of its staff and student body.
Essential Duties
TEACHING/SUBSTITUTE: Plans, develops, and presents organized learning opportunities for students in accordance with approved course outlines in topics relating to their specific curriculum competencies.
CURRICULUM: Prepares curriculum materials, including course outlines, syllabi, and other instructional materials. Contributes, as appropriate, to program improvement and development.
COMMUNICATION: Assures effective two-way communication at all levels of responsibility. Provides out-of-class communication opportunities with students. Participates in department and College meetings as appropriate. Participates in the work of the program advisory committees. Represents the College to external constituencies as appropriate. Seeks to promote a spirit of collegiality in dealings with College staff.
STUDENT ADVISING, RETENTION, AND ASSESSMENT: Assumes academic advising responsibilities for students within the faculty member's field of expertise. Is familiar with College assessment and placement procedures and aware of campus resources. Participates in department processing designed to recruit, advise, and retain students.
LEADERSHIP: Provides leadership in the learning environment and curricular expertise.
PLANNING: Perform necessary duties related to fashion show development semi-annually. Participates in all aspects of program and department planning and in the establishment of department goals and objectives.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Maintain competency and currency in the subject matter of courses taught and in teaching skills.
FACILITY: Assumes responsibility for the orderliness of the learning environment and the appropriate and safe use of instructional facilities and equipment.
