The Surgical Technologist provides safe and efficient care to the surgical patient under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN) and in collaboration with the surgeon. Being a BPA makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) profession.

Essential Functions:
Completes cycle counts in various warehouses by printing the count report, physically counting product, and verifying inventory accuracy by approving system-generated counts to manage inventory control. Confirms other the counts of other Cycle Counters.
Tracks open locator accuracy by verifying open locations in the system are open in the warehouse and vice versa.
Checks inventory by slot location and SKU number to manage accurate location of products.
Tracks inventory counts to recognize trends and communicates findings weekly to the department.
Investigates and reconciles lost inventories and possible mis-shipments/mis-picks by item and lot.
Completes appropriate system transfers and adjustments accordingly based on raw material or finished goods.
Communicates with Customer Service to investigate and respond to complaints within 24 hours with findings. Completes follow-up actions, crediting the customer when appropriate.
Participates in the annual physical inventory of products.
Interacts with the Government Regulations Department in handling of taxation questions.
Performs all other duties as assigned.

Overall Responsibility: Lead the preventive maintenance program, repairs and process modifications of facility structures and equipment.
Position Alternate Tasks:
Must be able to fill in for other maintenance employees as necessary to maintain smooth operations.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure that plant operations are compliant with food safety regulations and occupational safety regulations (FDA, OSHA, EPA, etc.).
Budget Control:
Work with senior management to determine an operations budget for projected plant renovations or equipment purchases.
Proactively seek out new technologies for more proficient processing or for the design of new products.
Inventory Control:
Maintain an adequate supply of equipment parts and materials to ensure plant operations run efficiently.
Preventive Maintenance:
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Schedule / prioritize work orders based upon emergencies
Verify that repairs / modifications are completed accurately, and that sufficient documentation is completed in support of the food safety and occupational safety programs.
Sustain integrity and proper function of processing equipment and components. Verify that processing equipment is maintained according to manufacturer specifications or regulatory requirements.
Schedule / perform preventive maintenance tasks on all processing equipment as necessary to maintain safe and legal products.
Perform preoperative / post maintenance verification inspections to ensure that equipment is intact and is free from build-up or other contaminants and as necessary for post maintenance / pre-operational line clearance.
Verify the function of processing equipment and product testing equipment according to the food safety program (i.e., magnets, etc.).
Process Modifications / Equipment Replacement:
Verify sanitary design standards are utilized when performing process modifications or equipment replacements.
Manage the inspection approval process when commissioning new processing equipment.
Work with management to verify that calibration records are current for food processing and product testing equipment.

Knowledge of equipment fabrication and repair techniques
Good organization of time and resources
Capability to trouble shoot and make decisions based upon unique situations

Individual Placement - Front Line/Administration Participant - Kawishiwi Ranger District
Full time job in Ely, MN
This position will spend the summer gaining hands-on customer service experience at a Superior National Forest Ranger District office while supporting the administration program. Primary duties will include visitor education; assisting with Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness permit issuances; assisting with Forest product permit issuances; providing visitors with recreation and biological information about the Superior National Forest while providing directions to a variety of locations; answering phones and taking messages; responding to emails; and general administration duties.
Additional opportunities may be available throughout the summer which may include assisting with gift shop sales; supporting National Visitor Use Monitoring survey efforts; supporting wildlife biology programming; performing recreation site and trail maintenance work alongside recreation technicians; and Wilderness campsite and portage maintenance alongside Wilderness Rangers in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
Prospective candidates should be self-motivated individuals who would be expected to work as part of a team and candidates would be expected to interact directly with National Forest visitors to provide customer service at Superior National Forest Ranger District Offices which may include selling gift store merchandise.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Providing customer service to National Forest visitors.
· Answering telephone calls and directing calls to the appropriate resource specialist.
· Responding to emails and voicemails about National Forest conditions.
· Providing visitor education and information to National Forest visitors.
· Working alone on occasion once they are fully trained on applicable duties and safety. protocols. In general, members will be working with Forest Service employees.
· Supporting Superior National Forest Ranger District Offices which may be open on weekends. Some degree of weekend work will likely be required with this position.
Marginal Duties
· Supporting National Visitor Use Monitoring (NVUM) efforts which may include completing NVUM surveys at pre-determined sites and times using established survey protocols and questions.
· Completing recreation site and trail maintenance tasks under the direction of Forest Service Staff.
Required Qualifications
· Driver's License;
· Ability to work independently;

· Ability to operate a pickup truck or other 4WD vehicle on unpaved roads
This SCA Position is authorized under the Public Land Corps Authority. All participants must be between the ages of 16 and 30, inclusive, or veterans age 35 or younger. Participants must also be a citizen or national of the United States or lawful permanent resident alien of the United States. Hours served can be applied toward the Public Land Corps (PLC) hiring authority.

Living Accommodations
· Selected candidates will be provided with housing free of charge at US Forest Service cabins or bunkhouses. Candidates can expect shared living conditions and must plan to provide their own bedding.
· All facilities have modern amenities (full kitchens, flush toilets; showers; electricity; Wi-Fi; on-site laundry).
· Cabins and bunkhouses have on-site parking for personal vehicles; any candidates who come without personal transportation may request to be placed into a bunkhouse that is closer to a grocery store.
Compensation
· Living allowance - $500/week;
· Free Housing at Forest Service cabins or bunkhouses;
· One-time travel allowance of $1,100
All allowances are subject to applicable federal, state, and local taxes.
