(e.g., H-1B, STEM OPT, TN, etc.) What you'll do In this critical role on AlixPartners' eDiscovery & Digital Forensics team, you will provide support to the eDiscovery leadership and consulting professionals including eDiscovery client billing, expenses, receivables & payables, and reporting. Responsibilities include: Support the global eDiscovery team with client billing and tracking to facilitate revenue processing, including client outreach and A/R follow-up. Liaise with accounting and finance regarding practice-level reporting. Coordinate project set up with revenue accounting. Support data logging, tracking, and audit functions related to the same. Consolidate data across multiple platforms into one summary. Extract business insights from data using technologies such as advanced Excel function, Alteryx, and Power BI. Handle sensitive and urgent information from clients, AlixPartners personnel, and other contacts while exercising appropriate judgment when responding. The eDiscovery Consultant is a full-time role that reports to the eDiscovery & Digital Forensics team. This position is available in our Detroit, Los Angeles, or New York offices. Paid relocation is not available for this position. This description is not designed to encompass a comprehensive listing of required activities, duties, or responsibilities. What you'll need Bachelor's degree with a major with a quantitative focus, such as finance, accounting, or data management. Two years' professional work experience required; experience with a professional services firm or in-house Risk Management/Legal department is a plus. Proficient in Excel beyond basic data entry, including ability to use pivot tables, conditional formatting, and more advanced formulas like VLOOKUP and IF-THEN. Prior work experience in SAP highly preferred. Experience tracking and managing billing, accounts receivable, and reporting in a professional services firm. High level of accuracy and attention to detail with excellent proofreading skills. Candidate must be discreet and able to handle highly confidential and sensitive subject matters. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills; experience working with executives preferred. Self-starter who can anticipate needs and demonstrate exceptional common sense, intelligence, and judgment to effectively and efficiently complete tasks and solve problems. Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to work well under pressure and maintain an executive presence in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. Proven organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must have the ability and willingness to learn new systems and assist in innovation as necessary. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Willingness to work outside of normal business hours, and in particular as unique projects/needs arise. We are looking to hire a Digital Forensic Examiner to support investigations aimed at protecting the integrity of the Federal Marketplace by contributing technical and forensic expertise to the identification, analysis, and documentation of suspected violations. These violations may involve noncompliance with: 45 CFR 155.220155.221 Enhanced Direct Enrollment (EDE) Agreements Web-broker Agreements CMS business rules and guidance Federal legislation and applicable regulatory requirements The position is full-time and will support a US Government civilian agency. The position is available starting January 19th, 2025, upon finding a qualified candidate who can attain the appropriate background clearance. Position Responsibilities: As a Digital Forensic Examiner, you will play a critical role in supporting investigations aimed at protecting the integrity of the Federal Marketplace. Your responsibilities will include: Conduct technical and digital forensic examination activities at the artifact level, including logs, system records, access data, and other forms of electronic evidence Support the identification, collection, preservation, and validation of digital evidence in accordance with established forensic standards and chainofcustody requirements Analyze technical data related to suspected security incidents, privacy concerns, or regulatory violations affecting Marketplace systems or processes Perform forensic validation to ensure evidence accuracy, completeness, and defensibility Collaborate with audit, privacy, and investigative personnel to integrate technical findings into comprehensive investigative assessments Experience and Skill Requirements: 35 years of experience supporting digital forensics investigations Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Digital Forensics, Cybersecurity, or related discipline; or equivalent hands-on experience with programming languages such as C, C++, or Java. Knowledge of forensic best practices for integrity preservation and validation Experience analyzing data related to security incidents, privacy concerns, or suspected violations Competent with forensic toolkits such as FTK for evidence collection and analysis. Capable of conducting full-scope forensic investigations involving infected systems, identifying initial infection vectors, and the scope of compromise. Strong documentation skills able to produce clear, defensible forensic reports that can be used in legal, compliance, or operational contexts.
