We support our clients during the full M&A and divestiture lifecycle, providing an advisory role, hands-on assistance, and / or interim management support.

Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Performance Improvement (A&M-CPI) is looking for seasoned professionals with experience in mergers and acquisitions to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background of leading operational due diligence (ODD), acquisition integration, and divestiture / carve-out planning work.
Relevant experience should include leadership roles in one or more of the following areas:
Merger and acquisition integration planning and execution Divestiture and carve-out planning and execution Operational due diligence Synergy development and execution

Responsibilities:
Manage Integration Management Office (IMO) or a focus area(s) within the IMO or functional workstreams including:Development of integration roadmaps Synergy development and execution Day 1 readiness / 100 Day planning Transition Service Agreement (TSA) management Change Management / Communications planning (including cultural integration) Organizational design and planning Plan, execute, and drive performance improvement in a M&A environment in one or more of the following areas:Operational optimization / consolidationG&A consolidation Supply chain IT / reporting integration Customer and channel management Lead and deliver large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business and technology solutions Effectively manage the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance

Qualifications:
6-20 years of relevant professional consulting and / or operational experience, specializing in merger integration, carve-out / divestiture planning, operational due diligence, and / or change management Bachelor's degree required, MBA a plus Excellent oral and written communications skills Demonstrated leadership skills in team environments Demonstrated management of complex initiatives / projects Initiative and drive Critical thinking skills Comfortable with travel

  • Provide qualitative and quantitative research and analysis of industries and target companies for pitch books, industry presentations, and ongoing engagements.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret SEC and court documents for pitches and presentations.
  • Maintain proprietary databases.
  • Respond to ad hoc research requests.
  • Create and adhere to quality control methodologies and techniques.

Qualifications:
  • The successful candidate will possess 3-7 years of experience at an investment bank, consulting firm, rating agency, law firm, or similar;
