We are seeking an experienced *Senior Lemon Law Attorney* with a minimum of *five (5) years of litigation experience*, including *direct experience in California Lemon Law*. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned litigator who's ready to take on complex cases against auto manufacturers and dealers on behalf of California consumers.
*Responsibilities:*
* Manage all aspects of California Lemon Law litigation from case inception through trial
* Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and responses
* Investigate claims by collecting and analyzing vehicle repair records, expert reports, and related evidence
* Represent clients in depositions, mediations, settlement conferences, and court hearings across California
* Negotiate settlements with auto manufacturers and dealers to resolve lemon law claims
* Prepare clients and expert witnesses for depositions, testimony, and vehicle inspections
* Advise clients on their legal rights and guide them through the litigation process from start to finish
* Argue motions and represent clients in court proceedings
* Collaborate with senior attorneys and supervise associates as needed
* Coordinate with legal support staff to ensure efficient and seamless case management
* Stay current on California Lemon Law and consumer protection regulations to provide informed legal counsel
*Qualifications:*
* Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
* Minimum5 years of litigation experience, including California Lemon Law
* Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
* Strong time management skills, including prioritization of cases and adhering to deadlines, internal or those imposed by the Court

Manage an active portfolio of assigned litigation-related matters, including balancing the allocation of internal and external resources taking into account such factors as workload, skill base, project schedules, and cost of resources.
Work with and manage outside counsel on assigned matters.
Advise members of legal or organizational management regarding the status of assigned matters. May assist more senior members of the department on more complex matters, applying appropriate legal judgment and sound business logic.

Required: JD from accredited law school; member of at least one state bar.

Compliance Oversight

In this role, you will...
Draft, review and negotiate legal agreements.
Ensure contracts are legally sound, protect ServiceLink's interests and comply with relevant laws and company policies.
Provide advice to the various business units, including contract requirements, obligations, terms, conditions and risks
Review vendor terms and conditions and recommend innovative ways to address contract requirements
Research and provide proactive guidance and recommendations to leadership on regulations, legal decisions, and proposed or upcoming laws impacting contracts within the Title and Mortgage Servicing industry
Responsibilities
Create, review and negotiate master services agreements, statements of work, service level agreements, non-disclosure agreements, vendor agreements and other similar types of contracts.
Ensure compliance by verifying that contracts adhere to all applicable laws, regulations and corporate policies.
Create, review and negotiate technology agreements, if needed.
Prepare corporate legal documents, if needed.
Perform legal research as required.
Assist and counsel business units in assessing and mitigating legal risk
Act as a resource and advisor to the business units
Provide advice and counsel to ServiceLink's General Counsel and to ServiceLink's senior management on business, contract, compliance, litigation, risk and corporate legal matters.
Perform all other duties assigned by ServiceLink's General Counsel or Senior Management.
Qualifications
Juris Doctorate degree
Good standing with at least one State Bar Association
7+ years' experience drafting and negotiating contracts within the commercial and/or corporate sector
Ability to identify and resolve contract-related issues.
Strong negotiation skills
Knowledge and understanding of the Banking Industry, including Title Insurance and Mortgage Servicing
Experience drafting contracts for banking institutions, mortgage servicers and/or title insurance companies is preferred.
Experience drafting technology contracts is a plus.
Strong verbal and excellent written communication skills; strong attention to detail
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines effectively
Proven ability to develop working relationships at multiple levels of the organization
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)

What You Will Do As A Corporate Counsel, Claims Litigation
The Corporate Counsel, Claims Litigation will provide legal services and advice regarding insurance claims of heightened complexity, including extracontractual matters, bad faith, and other major litigation. The Corporate Counsel will be a key partner to the Claims organization. This role reports to the Senior Director & Counsel, Insurance and will be responsible for working with our legal team on a wide variety of matters of significance to the organization, has in-depth experienced knowledge and the proven ability to lead efforts to resolve complex issues.
Manage complex litigation, bad faith, coverage, and extra-contractual allegations against the Company.
Effectively manage outside counsel to obtain legal advice
Successfully work with all levels of the organization, including advising senior leadership on legal risks and business strategies related to claims operations.
Manage claims litigation budget to ensure expense metrics are met.
Proactively monitor and analyze changes in laws, regulations and industry and advises appropriate organizational leadership of such changes in a timely manner.
Anticipate potential or future legal and operational issues that present a risk to the organization and proactively engage with others to identify potential solutions.
Be a business partner to Porch executives and business leaders, providing advice and assistance aimed at maximizing shareholder value.
Effectively communicate with stakeholders and varying levels of leadership in both verbal and written forms.
Produce clear and concise legal positions involving highly complex issues.
Advise on broader insurance legal and compliance issues as needed.
What You Will Bring As A Corporate Counsel, Claims Litigation
J.D. from an accredited law school; active and in good standing with U.S. state bar membership.
Candidates should have 8+ years of litigation experience at a law firm, government, and/or in-house role.
Demonstrated experience handling bad faith or extra-contractual litigation against an insurance company.
1st or 2nd chair trial and/or appellate experience
Experience effectively managing outside counsel
Up-to-date understanding of the key legal issues germane to an insurance organization
Knowledge of insurance-specific operational risks, such as reinsurance, underwriting compliance, product review and claims
Monitor evolving laws and regulations in the insurance services sectors and proactively advise leadership on their impact.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-lawyers
Flexible, solution-oriented, collaborative mindset
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Pay Range*: $138,800.00 - $194,300.00 annually
