The Corporate Development Group at Equifax is responsible for the company's worldwide merger and acquisition strategy and execution. Equifax is highly active in acquiring data & analytics, and ID & Fraud companies and strategic inorganic investing around the world. The Director will support the rapid pace of M&A as Equifax continues to expand its data assets, technology and capabilities worldwide.

As part of the Corporate Development team, the Director will assist the VP and EVP of corporate development in efforts to evaluate and execute information solutions company acquisitions and investments worldwide. This role provides ongoing exposure to the CEO and Senior Leadership Team.
What You'll Do:
Provide deal execution leadership through creation of communication materials for board of directors and senior management and managing due diligence Perform industry, market and company specific research & analysis; assess industry trends, market size and structure, industry M&A activity, and competitive landscapes Identify and evaluate potential acquisition candidates, lead acquisition valuation and the due diligence process; contribute to Letters of Intent, definitive agreement negotiations, internal communications/presentations to the EFX Board of Directors and Senior LeadershipLead the deal execution process and project management Travel internationally and domestically 10% of time annually and often on short notice for M&A activities

What You'll Bring:
Minimum 5 years of experience in Corporate development or business development Minimum 2 years working in investment banking, private equity or corporate development environment Demonstrated business acumen and executive presence to work seamlessly with senior leadership across the EFX enterprise as well as present to CEO, CFO and BU PresidentsExperience in the mechanics of mergers and acquisitions with strong financial modeling skills Strong team player who can both be strategic and tactical depending on the situation Experience operating in an high pace environment and attention to detail

Corporate Development M&A

Corp Dev works with all BNY Mellon's lines of business and corporate function specialists to evaluate, structure and execute potential acquisition, divestiture, joint venture and minority equity investment transactions.

Corp Dev is currently recruiting for a Senior Analyst or Associate to join our team. While many of our colleagues are working remotely at this time due to the pandemic, this role is to be based out of our New York Headquarters building located at 240 Greenwich Street - which is situated close to the World Trade Center.

The successful candidate for this role would become a direct report to the Head of Corporate Development while working with all members of the Corp Dev team.

Job overview:

Assignments that someone in this role would undertake include a broad range of activities, including potential M&A and/or investment transactions across the range of BNY Mellon businesses. Core activities of this role include analysis and valuation related to potential transactions, participation in due diligence, managing internal teams to review transactions and facilitation of Corp Dev recurring team activities (such as supporting development of monthly Corp Dev presentations to BNY Mellon's CEO and Executive Committee members, maintenance/updating of transaction tracking reports, research on selected target names and topics of interest) and other ad hoc assignments.

Key responsibilities:

* Prepare analyses and valuations of potential transactions; including financial impacts and returns analysis
* Develop overview/presentation materials for senior management review
* Develop and maintain financial (excel) models and analyses
* Conduct industry segment and company/business specific research to assist in monitoring current events and major news relating to potential target companies, businesses and topics of interest
* Prepare summary profiles of target companies/businesses
* Evaluate company/business financials (i.e., income statements, balance sheets and other financial information) on selected target companies and businesses and minority investment portfolio companies
* Help manage the due diligence process (including managing data rooms, maintaining due diligence request lists, etc.)
* Help manage day to day interaction with various internal and external constituents

Key Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree (an MBA or CFA is a plus)
* 2-4 years total work experience preferred in particular involving financial analysis, investment banking or M&A related activities
* Knowledge of financial services industry and related products
* Experience working on or strong knowledge of financial modelling, including discounted cash flow and other valuation methodologies
* Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal - presentation skills)
* Solid organizational skills, including the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Ability to work independently/be a self-starter
* Ability to conduct research using a variety of sources (e.g., SEC filings, FactSet, Bloomberg, S&P Global)

Corporate Development Director who has Extensive deal and operational insight and experience, managing and closing strategic partnerships and M&A transactions. You will help develop medium and long-term growth strategies, identify, evaluate, and recommend potential M&A and investment opportunities, and lead the execution of deals. You will work with cross-functional teams and report to the VP, Corporate FP&A and Strategy. The role will be responsible for all aspects of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), including strategic evaluation, deal structure, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and integration planning.
**Your Impact**

+ Experienced business and corporate development executive with consistent record of delivering material revenue growth through strategic alliances, M&A and ecosystems

+ Work closely with the Sr. Leadership team to develop a robust M&A / investment pipelines focused on inorganic growth opportunities (M&A, investments) in both existing and adjacent markets

+ Conduct strategic analyses and industry research to help identify and evaluate potential investment and/or acquisitions opportunities

+ Drive all aspects of a deal, including sourcing/ pre-diligence efforts, qualification, initial rationale and pitch, financial modeling and valuation, due diligence, closing and integration activities

+ Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Legal, Products, and Sales throughout the various stages of a transaction including strategically and have strong financial and deal-making skills.

**Your Qualifications**

+ 10+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, or private equity, management consulting, corporate strategy

+ Deep experience in the technology sector, SaaS preferred but not required

+ Demonstrated financial valuation and deal execution skills

+ Master's degree in Business Administration/related field or equivalent experience

+ Demonstrated ability to excel in an innovative, fast-paced environment, with rapid exploration and ability to execute

+ Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to formulate and deliver insights around complex business problems in a thoughtful and persuasive manner

+ Ability to manage multiple simultaneous high-priority projects
