As a member of the Strategic Sourcing Team, you'll develop and execute category management strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders; inclusive of sourcing, negotiating, and contracting for HR & Corporate Services, such as HR products & services, Employee Benefits, Rent, Facilities, & Food Services. May support across other spend categories depending on business requirements and needs.

Responsibilities

Category Management
Provide sourcing category expertise for HR & Corporate ServicesAbility to learn and quickly develop subject matter expertise Ability to interact with senior leaders and demonstrate a professional presence Manage and execute sourcing strategies for marketing categories through technical/functional/market knowledge, in support of the business' short-term and long-term plans Develop category strategies based on rigorous analysis of spend data, supply market dynamics, category intelligence, and business requirements Partner with the business to build influence, evaluate and challenge the status quo. Identify and obtains buy-in for category strategies Identify and capture cost improvement opportunities beyond sourcing, such as demand management, process improvements, insource vs. outsource, innovation, etc.Regularly monitors the market for category leading practices and demand/supply shifts such as supply consolidation, technology innovations, etc.
Strategic Sourcing
Execute strategic sourcing projects using common sourcing practices to deliver exceptional total value in partnership with key stakeholders across the business Gather stakeholder and subject-matter expertise/insights and market intelligence to ensure sourcing solutions meet business needs. Assess supplier capabilities and identify new suppliers Analyze supplier proposals and facilitate fact-based supplier selection process Leverage market data, external expert resources, spend analytics, and cost modeling to drive fact-based decision making.Prepare and present business cases and should-cost models; performs complex data analysis and build financial models (i.e. ROI, NPV, supplier scorecards, savings tracking, make vs. buy decision models) Analyze and summarize RFP responses and results and prepare recommendations for Senior ManagementDevelop and execute negotiation strategies to maximize total value and minimize risks Partner with legal department to ensure proper representation and enforcement of critical terms and conditions Ensure savings are delivered in a timely manner and achieve realization of expected benefits Drive continuous improvements Support supplier diversity and sustainability goals
Continuous Improvement
Work with stakeholders post projects to identify continuous improvement initiatives.Identify costs drivers to increase cost awareness and influence cost consciousness.Identify, oversee, pursue, and manage re-engineering, value engineering and demand management opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness, interfacing with cross-functional teams Develop implementation and transition plans acting as a change agent. Education & Experience

Position Summary:

The Manager, Strategic Sourcing will be responsible for supporting category management, sourcing and reporting for our Consumer Product Manufacturer Client, located in Shelton, CT. Core responsibilities will include working closely with Client business stakeholders and LogicSource category Directors across multiple categories (Corporate Services, IT, Marketing Print & Services, Facilities, Distribution, Packaging Tail Spend and FF&E) to execute sourcing events, category reporting (spend, savings, lead times, supplier management) and acting as a conduit to our Center of Excellence in Norwalk, CT.

Responsibilities:

You will work directly with business stakeholders to develop, execute, and track detailed category management strategies.

This will include:

* Review of budgets and regular meetings with stakeholders to develop a sourcing calendar
* Lead execution of RFPs and other sourcing events. For large sourcing events, you will be able to leverage off-site subject matter experts in LogicSource shared services centers
* Act as a subject matter expert in your categories of responsibility, including sourcing and qualification of new suppliers.
* Facilitate and lead efforts to move category spend and project activity into LogicSource's OneMarket Portfolio project management tool.
* Work with suppliers to maintain up-to-date catalog selection and pricing
* Participate in value engineering projects to drive technical improvements within your categories
* Supplier performance monitoring and development
* Preparation of savings tracking and reporting for client leadership and stakeholder business units
* Tracking and presentation of project statuses
* Identify and problem-solve project risks/issues, escalating when necessary to resolve issues affecting our ability to deliver on client expectations
* Develop internal client relationships; facilitate communication between client business units, internal stakeholders and suppliers
* Provide first-rate customer service to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
* Learn client's culture and adapt to it while maintaining cultural standards of LogicSource

Required Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience required
* 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing & procurement of goods and services.
* Ability to operate independently as well as interact with vendors, and internal or client stakeholders at all organizational levels.
