How you make a difference The Mental Health Professional provides clinical services to individuals under the supervision of the Mental Health Coordinator, Clinical Supervisor or Mental Health Director. They conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide evidenced-based psychotherapeutic interventions. Additionally, they provide mental health consultation and training to facility staff. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical services to persons served in compliance with policies and relevant professional standards, including individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and diagnostic evaluations. Complete relevant clinical documentation, including clinical service reports and mental health treatment records, in a timely and professional manner. Provide consultation services to institutional staff, including screening committees and psychiatric staff, regarding the mental status and management of persons served. Participate in staff meetings, in-service training programs, and specialized clinical services and/or program development activities. Maintain accountability for services provided through participation in the Quality Improvement program and timely and accurate recording of activities. Additional Details full time, night position. Qualifications & Requirements Education Master's degree in a behavioral/social science field from an accredited college or university. Experience Coursework and professional experience that indicates knowledge of mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders, psychological assessment techniques, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation. How you make a difference As a Licensed Mental Health Professional working in a correctional facility, your responsibilities include conducting intake evaluations, providing therapeutic interventions and suicide prevention techniques, and developing treatment plans for inmates. You will also be responsible for monitoring the clinical needs of inmates on your caseload, providing staff training on mental health topics, and documenting all findings in accordance with company and facility policies. Your role is critical in ensuring that inmates receive appropriate mental health services and care while incarcerated. Key Responsibilities Conduct screening, assessments, and triages for inmates referred by security, healthcare staff, and other community sources, and provide appropriate recommendations for their level of care. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating acute and emergency complaints, participating in administrative meetings, and supporting cross-coverage needs. The PA collaborates with physicians and mental health professionals, ensuring clinical documentation and treatment align with protocols. They maintain patient privacy and contribute to quality improvement activities. The role also involves emergency care coordination and psychiatric assessment support. Key Responsibilities Deliver acute and emergency medical care in accordance with protocols Consult with physicians and manage patient transfers when clinically indicated Document all findings using the S.O.A.P. method and EMR systems Maintain HIPAA compliance and participate in quality improvement efforts Provide cross-coverage and support psychiatric stability assessments Additional Details Will work a minimum of 4 shifts per month, including 1 weekend shift.
