Responsibilities
Provide holistic (RN) nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
Assess physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients; obtain health history and provide a written assessment of patients upon admission.
During custody and upon discharge, document and communicate triage decisions to the appropriate health care provider.
Develop individual nursing care plans using nursing assessment protocols in consultation with health care providers.
Implement medical care plans to include diagnostic tests, EKGs, etc., according to physician orders.
Administer medications using proper techniques, procedures, and approved routes of administration; nutrition and therapeutic diet plans.
Assist physician in medical or minor surgical procedures as necessary.

The successful candidate:
This position includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus (subject to eligibility requirements). Operates all routine radiographic equipment in a safe and proficient manner. Produces high quality radiographs with a minimum of repeats. Handles multiple room assignments and all different types of exams on a daily basis. Communicates with physicians, patients, families, and ancillary hospital personnel. Assists with other activities as deemed necessary for the day-to-day operation of the department. Abides by and enforce all compliance requirements and policies and performs these responsibilities in an ethical manner consistent with the organization's values. Participates in performance improvement initiatives as well as other employees' training and orientation.Position may require cross training in additional modalities as directed by the Director of Imaging.Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Completes formal Radiologic Technology training in an AMA approved school and is registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Vascular Interventional Radiology, ARRT (VI).
Possesses current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Completes a minimum of 24 hours of continuing education bi-annually
Remains “in compliance” with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology's continuing medical education requirement (CME).
Minimum of two years experience after graduation in a major hospital setting.
