How you make a difference The Operations Specialist is responsible for guiding and supporting the operational management team in clinical decision-making, policy development, and achieving company objectives across various sites. They provide expertise in correctional nursing and ensure compliance with accreditation standards such as ACA, NCCHC, and TJC. Additionally, the specialist may cover leadership roles at facilities for extended periods. Key Responsibilities * Demonstrated technical and process knowledge and the ability to coach others in the leadership of operations procurement, flow and distribution including supplies, machinery, equipment or tools to be used or merchandise to be bought, stocked and sold. * Demonstrates financial literacy and capability to coach others in the areas of staffing/planning, planning, administration and execution. * Demonstrated knowledge and leadership ability to provide guidance in the maintenance of state, federal and local ethics compliance guidelines and policies. * Understands and demonstrates the ability to coach others in the appropriate application of incident tracking, review, resolution, preventative and reporting procedures, including, but not limited to discrepancies in sharps and tool counts and medication errors. * Must be able to secure and maintain required background/security clearance for all client facilities. Additional Details RN Preferred. Correctional experince preferred. Qualifications & Requirements Education * Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.     The ECMO Specialist is enrolled and actively participating in the department's ECMO Training Program. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining the skills necessary to proficiently and safely establish, manage, and control extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) technology and assist with associated procedures in acutely ill patients of all ages in critical care settings. The specialist will learn to troubleshoot devices and associated equipment under the supervision of experienced ECMO personnel, provide ongoing care through surveillance of clinical and physiologic parameters, adjust ECLS devices as needed, administer and document blood products and medications in accordance with hospital standards, provide airway and ventilator management, and perform the full scope of practice of a Respiratory Therapist II. Schedule: 36 hours per week, rotating day/night shifts, every third weekend. **This position is eligible for full time benefits $20,000 sign-on bonus (not eligible for internal candidates and not eligible for former BCH employees who worked here in the past 2 years) Key Responsibilities: Assemble, prepare, and maintain extracorporeal circuits and associated equipment with assistance. Assist in priming extracorporeal circuits and preparing systems for clinical application. Assist with cannulation procedures. Assist in establishing extracorporeal support; monitor patient response, provide routine assessments, circuit evaluations, patient monitoring, and anticoagulation management. Assist with ECMO circuit interventions, weaning procedures, and transports. Administer blood products per hospital standards.     PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To cultivate and solicit all assigned donors and donor groups through stewardship strategies. To assist donors in achieving their stewardship goals. This will be accomplished through relationship building through various donor cultivation strategies. GENERAL DUTIES: CHURCH RELATIONSHIPS BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS OTHER ASSIGNED DONORS QUALIFICATIONS Proven track record in fundraising or experience in donor relationship cultivation. Have knowledge of homelessness, rescue and funding environments on a local and national level. Must be of exemplary character displaying respect, accountability and professionalism. Proven commitment to Biblical Christian unity among pastors of different denominations. Servant leader who demonstrates faith, humility and unity. Composed and professional demeanor. Enthusiastic about Rockford Rescue Mission's purpose, vision and values. Skilled and effective in written and verbal communications. Must be teachable and function as a team player. Ability to follow a strategy for building and maintaining relationships with donors and engage them through giving financially, gifts-in-kind, and volunteering. Must be able to manage multiple tasks and work with deadlines. Must engage in safe and healthy work practices, both on the premises and off-site facilities. Must take an active part ensuring the safety, health and well-being of all Mission staff, volunteers and Mission guests. Willing to work weekends and evenings as necessary. Flexibility and a cooperative spirit are crucial. Proficient in MS Office (including Word, Excel and Outlook). Experience with donor database. Have a passion for the work of this ministry, a highly relational and winsome disposition, sensitivity to the needs of others, and innate attention to detail.
