Job Duties
A dynamic position within Urogynecology, including operating room support for our excellent surgeon. This covers both State College and Lewistown.
Home base for outpatient clinics 3-4 days per week will be at Geisinger Health Plex State College
1-2days per week surgical first assist or clinic at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.
Join a vibrant and skilled group of sub-specialty providers, consisting of 5 physicians and 3 APs across Geisinger's service area.
See 15-18 patients/day
Schedule Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (except for OR surgical assist days, which start a little earlier)

The ideal candidate will have:

Demonstrates strong leadership through routine interactions and engagement of all hospital partners such as physicians, nurses, and executives. It provides full spectrum infectious disease care for a 1,200 bed referral center with our unique model of 8 inpatient clinical services and our outpatient department. Members of the department pursue specialty interests including solid organ transplant / BMT, bone and joint infections, neurological infections, care of the patient with HIV, granulomatous infections, and endocarditis and infected cardiac devices. Physicians would be appointed as Clinical Instructors at the UW School of Medicine. Clinical Instructors hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. In addition to providing primary care, this role will include some clinical teaching responsibilities.
