Responsibilities The Nurse Extern role is designed to provide expanded clinical experience for senior professional (RN) nursing students and to assist the Registered Nursing staff by performing patient care activities, which includes participating in patient care planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation, as well as reporting significant observations to a Registered Nurse. Qualifications Education Required: Graduated within the past 6 months from an accredited RN program and actively taking steps to obtain RN license. Certifications Required: CPR.
