Responsibilities
Summary:
The Air Detention Officer serves as a part of a security crew providing charter aircraft services and is responsible for ensuring the general security and safety of all noncitizen and crew when on-board the aircraft. The security of all areas as required by the appropriate procedures and checklists mustbe always maintained.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Air Detention Officer loads and unloads noncitizen onto and off the aircraft (including those handicapped and/or requiring special assistance); searches noncitizen for contraband; feeds the noncitizen during flight; and escorts the noncitizen to the restroom.
Applies restraints and removes them as applicable.
Identifies proper documentation.
Searches the aircraft for contraband and assists in post flight cabin cleanup.
Loads and unloads property onto and off the aircraft.
Assists with perimeter security as requested.
Maintains checklists and checkpoints throughout the assigned shift.
The Air Detention Officer takes charge of post by securing and protecting personnel and property until properly relieved.
Reports all violations of orders.
Sounds the alarm in case of disorder or emergency.
Reports unusual events that threaten the security of the aircraft or endangers life or property.
Takes reasonable counteraction to save life and property or lessen danger.
Provides for embarkation and debarkation security as required at each Port of Call.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Must be a United States citizen residing in the U.S. and able to obtain visas and inoculations required to permit departure from and entry into the US and all scheduled destinations.
High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
Must posses an active, valid United States passport.
A minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience as a corrections/detention officer within the United States; OR one (1) year of full-time law enforcement experience while employed by a United States federal, state, city or municipality law enforcement entity, or the United States Military; OR one (1) year full-time employment as a security guard with a state issued guard card within the last six (6) months.
Must be certified as a Security Officer in the state where the work is to be performed and maintain the certification.
Must be capable of lifting fifty (50) lbs.
Must be able to write detailed written reports and forms.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to be physically alert on any shift that is assigned
Ability to successfully complete all requiring training and certifications.
Ability to pass a Company and Federal Client background investigation.
Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

POSITION FUNCTION:

Responsible for administrative duties relating to investigations/calls for service. The security of all areas as required by the appropriate procedures and checklists mustbe always maintained.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Air Detention Officer loads and unloads noncitizen onto and off the aircraft (including those handicapped and/or requiring special assistance); searches noncitizen for contraband; feeds the noncitizen during flight; and escorts the noncitizen to the restroom.
Applies restraints and removes them as applicable.
Identifies proper documentation.
Searches the aircraft for contraband and assists in post flight cabin cleanup.
Loads and unloads property onto and off the aircraft.
Assists with perimeter security as requested.
Maintains checklists and checkpoints throughout the assigned shift.
The Air Detention Officer takes charge of post by securing and protecting personnel and property until properly relieved.
Reports all violations of orders.
Sounds the alarm in case of disorder or emergency.
Reports unusual events that threaten the security of the aircraft or endangers life or property.
Takes reasonable counteraction to save life and property or lessen danger.
Provides for embarkation and debarkation security as required at each Port of Call.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Must be a United States citizen residing in the U.S. and able to obtain visas and inoculations required to permit departure from and entry into the US and all scheduled destinations.
High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
Must posses an active, valid United States passport.
A minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience as a corrections/detention officer within the United States; OR one (1) year of full-time law enforcement experience while employed by a United States federal, state, city or municipality law enforcement entity, or the United States Military; OR one (1) year full-time employment as a security guard with a state issued guard card within the last six (6) months.
Must be certified as a Security Officer in the state where the work is to be performed and maintain the certification.
Must be capable of lifting fifty (50) lbs.
Must be able to write detailed written reports and forms.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to be physically alert on any shift that is assigned
Ability to successfully complete all requiring training and certifications.
Ability to pass a Company and Federal Client background investigation.
Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
