Other Duties and Responsibilities
May serve in other specialized areas such as community services, warrant service, SWAT or canine team, field training, reserve liaison, or other assignment;
Works non-traditional hours; shifts are staffed 24/7 and must be available weekends and holidays;
May be on call after regular duty hours to respond to emergency situations;
Performs other related duties as required.
Acceptable Experience and Training
High school diploma or GED equivalency required and some college courses in criminal justice preferred;
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Special Qualifications
Idaho driver's license;
Idaho POST certification within one year of hire;
Must successfully complete a background investigation, including a polygraph examination, through the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).

About the Venue

The complex is flexible to meet the needs of events of all types and sizes. It is well-suited for conventions, meetings, tradeshows, sporting, social and entertainment events.
Responsibilities
Secures building by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance cameras; inspecting building, equipment, and access points.
Prevents losses and damages by reporting irregularities in cooler temperatures, and HVAC equipment.
Respond to requests for assistance from FIC staff and visitors for a variety of security issues (fire, medical emergencies, etc.).
Performs all event and non-event security duties as assigned.
Conducts building safety inspections (Normally pre-event and post event safety checks).
Protects Arena, Ampitheater, and Horse Park equipment, materials and structures throughout the work schedule.
Provides regular security functions within the venue and related areas, prior to, during and after all events.
Responsible for clean, neat appearance with complete FIC Security Uniform.
Receives, records, and returns all lost and found items according to established team procedures.
Performs stall checks and other assignments related to Horse Park events.
Qualifications
Prior security experience preferred, but not required.
Able to work overnight hours as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language required.
Ability to work beyond traditional business hours, including nights, weekends and select holidays, is required.

Starting hourly wage: $22.69 The primary role of this position is to perform non-sworn duties ensuring the safety and security of Southwest Idaho Juvenile Detention Center (SWIJDC) under the supervision of department administrators, supervisors, and training officers. While some independence is allowed, work must comply with strict legal and departmental guidelines. The role involves potential personal risk and health hazards, with possible special assignments such as Booking/Admissions Officer.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Security
* Monitor residents' activities and behaviors to ensure facility safety, security, and adherence to standards, policies, and procedures
* Maintain security by conducting census counts, meal counts, perimeter and security checks, and other procedures within established timelines
Resident Management
* Process new residents into the SWIJDC, ensuring charges and other documents are correct and complete, taking fingerprints and photographs, conducting searches, facilitating medical and mental health evaluations, preparing records, entering data, assigning housing, issuing clothing, and completing other booking duties
* Monitor and log residents' incoming and outgoing mail
* Coordinate scheduling for court appearances, hearings, evaluations, and interviews; accompany residents to court hearings and assist in providing courtroom security
* Transport and serve meals to residents; supervise cleanup
* Address residents' medical requests
* Conduct and participate in competency development programs
* Perform release duties by verifying documents and court orders; may include installing electronic monitoring equipment

Other Duties
