Under general supervision of the Jail Sergeant, responsible for supervising inmates of the Calumet County Jail assuring a safe and secure environment, while adhering to all applicable laws, policies and procedures. Performs related duties as required. Examples of Duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Makes periodic rounds and conducts security inspections and searches of inmates and inmates' quarters for contraband and any unauthorized/dangerous materials; and maintains surveillance of all inmates and jail activities through visual and audible devices.
