Requirements Qualified applicants must hold a high school diploma or GED and preferably apply with having completed the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections Title 37 training or have equivalent on-the-job experience within corrections; must be capable of remaining alert at all times during shifts that could last as long as 16 consecutive hours; must be able to sustain the physical requirements of the position that include standing and walking on concrete, working under pressure with frequent interruptions, exposure to odors and bodily fluids, and restraining inmates.
