The Campus Police Officer will perform general law enforcement work to protect life and property on the Gardner-Webb University Campus. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & TYPICAL TASKS:
* Independently patrols streets throughout the campus in a police car or on foot.
* Develops and maintains working rapport with students, faculty, staff, citizens, and community leaders.
* Checks doors and windows; examines premises of unoccupied residences or buildings; detects unusual conditions, maintains surveillance and observation for stolen cars, missing persons, or suspects; and, reports dangerous or defective streets, sidewalks, traffic lights, or other hazardous conditions.
* Responds independently to calls for assistance, complaints, suspicious activity, domestic disputes, loud and disruptive behavior, and other needs; determines nature of the situation and takes appropriate legal or persuasive action warranted.
* Investigates traffic accidents; issues traffic citations; directs traffic; and participates in other emergency operation activities; may be required to give chase to speeding vehicles while ensuring public safety.
* Performs investigations of accidents and possible crimes through observation, questioning witnesses and others in the community, and gathering physical evidence; and arrests and processes criminal suspects.
* Apprehends and processes criminal suspects and transports to magistrates and detention facilities.
* Advises the public on laws and local ordinances; and serves legal papers as needed.
* Regulates and directs vehicular traffic at busy times or when traffic signal malfunction or accidents require; and maintains order at public gatherings.
* Operates a two-way radio to receive instructions and information from or to report information to police headquarters; maintains vehicle, weapons, and other equipment in standard working order.
* Prepares records and reports on activities.
* Follows all applicable safety rules and regulations.
* Assists stranded motorists; gives information and directions to visitors and the general public.
* Performs related duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
* Working knowledge of the state and federal laws, local ordinances, and policies of the campus police department, especially relating to arrest, search and seizure, and traffic control.
* Working knowledge of law enforcement principles, practices, methods, community policing and equipment.
* Working knowledge of scientific crime detection and criminal identification methods and procedures.
* Knowledge of the geography and street system of the campus.
* Skill in the use of firearms and other police equipment and in the application of self-defense tactics.
* Ability to act with sound judgment in routine and emergency situations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and perform repetitive motions.
* Must be able to perform heavy work of exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and 50 pounds of force frequently, and 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
* Must possess the visual acuity to perform extensive reading, to operate law enforcement equipment, and to perform computer work.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Completion of a two-year degree in Criminal Justice or graduation from high school supplemented by basic courses in law enforcement; or an equivalent combination of education with 5 years of experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Possession of a valid North Carolina driver's license and be a certified law enforcement officer with the North Carolina Justice Training and Standards, North Carolina Sheriff's Education and Training Standards Division, or hold BLET (Basic Law Enforcement Training) certification that has not expired.
* Certification in North Carolina Justice Training and Standards Council as a law enforcement officer.
* Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays and special events as needed.

them to be assigned to a permanent day shift position (6:40 AM - 7:00 PM).
Night shift personnel (6:40 PM - 7:00 AM) are paid a shift premium that equates to an additional
$2.00 per hour for their regularly scheduled shift assignment.

Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule and range 05-31 with a starting pay of $34.67/hour. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period is required.
Employees working in maximum security sites are eligible for a $3.00 per hour add-on for all hours worked. Maximum security sites include: Columbia Correctional Institution, Dodge Correctional Institution, Green Bay Correctional Institution Taycheedah Correctional Institution, and Waupun Correctional Institution.
Employees working in medium security sites are eligible for a $1.00 per hour add-on for all hours worked. Candidates with no prior permanent employment with the State of Wisconsin in the past five (5) years may be eligible to accept a sign-on bonus of $3,000. We are seeking employees to join our team as CorrectionalOfficers and are pleased to announce the new Step Pay Plan approved by the NC Legislature. This pay-plan offers competitive starting salaries and guaranteed annual increases based on each year of experience as a North Carolina CorrectionalOfficer. Those with prior North Carolina CorrectionalOfficer experience can return to employment with full credit in the pay plan for each year of experience as well.
CorrectionalOfficer Responsibilities:
* Ensure the care, custody, and control of offenders
* Perform general security duties to prevent escape, disorder, rule infractions, and harm to offenders, visitors, and staff such as:
* Search offenders, visitors, cells, and other areas for weapons and contraband
* Maintain and record offender counts, cell assignments, and other pertinent information
* Escort offenders within and outside the institution
* Supervise offender work details
* Identify offenders who have behavioral, medical, or other problems so that appropriate safety and security measures may be taken.
* Observing offender activity in person and on closed-circuit monitors.
* Specific security duties vary by post-assignment.

Some NC prisons contain more than one custody level of offenders. Offenders are assigned to various "custody" levels including "Minimum," "Medium," and "Close" which identifies the level of supervision that is required. As such, each CorrectionalOfficer level of classification below corresponds with the custody level of offenders that they will be supervising.
CorrectionalOfficer I:
Minimum - Offenders at these facilities require a minimum amount of oversight, they are permitted to enter/exit cells without permission during certain times of the day.
Salary Range: $32,639 -$57,117

CorrectionalOfficer II:
Medium - Offenders at these facilities do not require as much oversight as those at Close facilities but require more supervision than those at Minimum facilities.

Close - Offenders at these facilities always require close supervision. Movement throughout the prison is heavily controlled.

Basic CorrectionalOfficer Training (BCOT)
Once hired as a CorrectionalOfficer, you will be required to attend six weeks of Basic CorrectionalOfficer Training (BCOT). Training is held during specific time frames throughout the year which will require you to stay overnight at a training facility, with weekends at home. Room and board are provided for. Transportation can be available upon request

Full- Time Position:
Full- time officers may:

Employees must be able to work any shift including rotating, fixed shift, or split shift. All shifts may include days, nights, weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime as required.
Part- Time Position:

* Transition across the state within different institution locations
* Have access to internal promotional opportunities and growth
Part-time options are at any facility with 24 to 32 hours a week maximum. All positions may need to cover flexible shifts as well as shifts on holidays and weekends.

Trainee Progression Candidate Consideration

The Division of Institutions is responsible for the care and custody of approximately 30,000 individuals incarcerated in 53 prisons across North Carolina. Our division categorizes the institutions into various custody levels, which include Minimum, Medium, and Close, to ensure that the precise level of supervision is provided. With the purpose to provide every individual in custody proper care and supervision, irrespective of their custody level.

As part of the application process the applicant will be required to complete the United States Secret Service Applicant Physical Abilities Test (APAT). It is a physical fitness assessment which consists of four components (push-ups, sit-ups, Illinois Agility Run and a 1.5 Mile Run). The APAT is designed to measure the current level of general physical fitness of an applicant, which serves as an indicator of an applicant's ability to safely complete a vigorous physical training program. It evaluates the applicant's ability to perform the physical tasks required on the job by measuring muscular and dynamic strength, endurance, flexibility, aerobic capacity and other factors related to physical aptitude. General Medical Requirements: As determined by OPM the duties of this position require moderate to arduous physical exertion involving walking and standing, use of firearms, and exposure to inclement weather. Manual dexterity with comparatively free motion of fingers, wrist, elbows, shoulders, hips and knee joints is required. Arms, hands, legs and feet must function sufficiently in order for applicants to perform the duties satisfactorily.
Additional information
* Recruitment Incentive: Applicants may be eligible for a $40,000 recruitment incentive in accordance with regulatory requirements. The first installment of $15,000 will be paid following successful completion of Secret Service Criminal Investigator training. A second installment of $10,000 will be paid following one year of service post training and an acceptable performance rating. The final installment of $15,000 will be paid after a third year of service post training and an acceptable performance rating. Provision of these payments require the execution of a three-year Continued Service Agreement (CSA) with the agency. Newly hired employees who resign from the USSS prior to the expiration of the CSA will be required to repay the recruitment incentive. (NOTE: Eligibility is limited to "Newly appointed" Federal employees as defined by 5 CFR 575.102).
Applicants selected for this position will be required to sign a CSA before being assigned to an initial training class. The CSA will commit the applicant to a specified period of employment with the Secret Service upon the successful completion of training.

Global Support and Development is seeking to hire a Protection and Safeguarding Specialist within our Programs section. The position is full-time, fixed-term, until December 31, 2026.
Reporting to our Director of Protection and Safeguarding, The Protection and Safeguarding Specialist is responsible for integrating protection and safeguarding into GSD emergency response and preparedness operations, including deployment to emergencies with GSD's Disaster Response Team .
This position requires the ability to rapidly deploy to areas affected by natural disasters primarily in the Caribbean and Central America, with high readiness during the Atlantic Hurricane season (June-November). During both “blue sky” periods and emergency deployments, the Protection and Safeguarding Specialist will work to ensure that GSD's programs and operations minimize harm, promote safety, and uphold the rights and dignity of affected populations, including preventing and responding to sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) and child safeguarding concerns. The Specialist will provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to GSD teams and partners and serve as Safeguarding focal point for deployments. The Protection and Safeguarding Specialist works to strengthen GSD's protection and safeguarding capacity through development of technical resources, capacity strengthening initiatives, support to strategy, system and capability development and related tasks.
GSD is locally-led, brings together a range of backgrounds and expertise and does not engage in stand-alone protection programming at this time. Deployments are often based out of GSD's Humanitarian Vessel. The ideal candidate will be adaptable to different modalities of work, have strong skills in integrating protection into other sectors of disaster response and supporting diverse partners and staff, and can engage meaningfully with communities, without being extractive.

Rapidly deploy to areas affected by natural disasters (within 48 hours, for up to 3 weeks per deployment) and remain prepared for rapid deployment;
Conduct rapid protection and safeguarding risk analysis for affected areas;
Support GSD teams to integrate protection principles into all aspects of GSD's emergency response, including needs assessments, program design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation;
Work with Team Leads to ensure implementation of GSD's safeguarding policies and procedures on the ground, that they are understood and adhered to by all staff, volunteers, and partners;
Identify and analyze potential protection and safeguarding risks associated with GSD's programs and operations and develop mitigation strategies, emphasizing those most at-risk;
Provide training and awareness-raising sessions on protection and safeguarding principles, expectations, risk mitigation, and reporting channels, for GSD staff, volunteers, and partners;
Share, strengthen, and establish (as needed) feedback and complaint mechanisms that are accessible and safe for affected populations, ensuring that protection concerns can be raised and addressed;
Liaise and coordinate with local partners, including the national disaster management organizations and other humanitarian actors on protection and safeguarding issues;
Connect with specialized protection organizations, and those serving the most vulnerable or at-risk populations. Participate in relevant coordination meetings and working groups;
Adapt protection and safeguarding strategies and tools to the specific contexts where GSD works;
Contribute to timely and accurate reporting on protection and safeguarding activities, including any incidents or concerns. Maintain clear and confidential records in accordance with GSD's policies;
Ensure consideration of protection needs and rights of affected populations within GSD's operations and with external stakeholders as appropriate;
Develop technical resources and tools for GSD staff and partners on protection and safeguarding;
Support program teams and departments to integrate Safeguarding and Protection into program design and implementation.
Contribute to development of organizational framework on protection and safeguarding as well as strategies and tools;
Represent protection and safeguarding in relevant internal meetings;

Promote good stewardship of financial and other resources to achieve maximum benefit to those impacted by disaster or at risk of impact; and

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Experience:
Seven (7) or more years of relevant professional experience, working on protection, GBV, child protection, or related field in humanitarian settings. Experience in the Caribbean and/or Central America a plus; and
Proven experience applying protection lenses to engagements with partners and teams.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge/Skills:
Demonstrated skills in protection risk analysis and mitigation;
Strong understanding of minimum standards for protection and safeguarding in humanitarian action;
Solid experience in humanitarian programming for major protection issues including GBV, child protection, etc.;
Demonstrated experience and understanding of survivor-centered safeguarding systems;
Ability to work collaboratively with a wide array of stakeholders and build authentic, strong relationships across cultures;
Excellent at developing technical tools and facilitating training in protection;
Flexibility to adapt to evolving organizational needs and systems as well as different modalities of working;
Discernment for confidentiality in relation to organizational, partner, and donor activities and communications;
Experience working and/or traveling domestically and internationally;
Strong organizational skills and the ability to rapidly shift tasks; and
Proficiency in Spanish, Haitian Creole, French, or other working language is an asset.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Job Description
The Loss Prevention Officer ensures the safety and tranquil stay of hotel guests and employees, to enforce the policies and procedures of the hotel and to record in writing any assigned task. Prepare incident and accident reports accurately and in the format specified by Loss Prevention Leadership.
Responsibilities
Performs Security rounds of the hotel to include of front of house and heart of house areas.
Visits all locations requiring special attention as frequently as required.
Responds immediately to those emergency incidents and Security requests to which he or she is assigned.
Ensures maximum guest, associate, and hotel safety and security at all times.
Is courteous, tactful, and helpful, but firm in enforcing hotel policies and procedures.
Familiar with all emergency situations, including fire alarms, according to procedure and with an appropriate sense of urgency.
Performs lock audits as assigned by the ISD operator and management.
Reports in writing on all activities during each shift before leaving the hotel, with oral reports and emergency notifications delivered as directed by the established Security procedures.
Performs duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering, Security Supervisor, and responds to directions from any Executive Committee member or Department Manager.
Creates and maintains the highest standards of Security at all times, begin professional in attitude, appearance, and application.
Monitors the Security of the receiving dock and may assist with collecting packaging passes for all parcels taken from hotel.
Assists with retrieving items from the Purchasing department afterhours and on weekends.

Broad River Retail is currently seeking a Loss Prevention Agent to join our Loss Prevention Team, under the People Department. This position is responsible for protecting company assets, reducing shrink, investigating theft and/or fraud, and ensuring compliance with company policies in our distribution centers, retail stores, and corporate offices. This role requires a proactive presence, strong analytical skills, and a collaborative spirit.
DAY IN THE LIFE AS THIS MEMORY MAKER:
Be present during daily loadout in the warehouse to maintain control of damage and loss of product.
Conduct internal and external theft investigations including interviews, surveillance reviews, and report preparation.
Monitor CCTV systems and regularly conduct security walkthroughs in assigned distribution center.
Serve as local point of contact for the Operations team and provide conflict management, as needed, when a product is damaged or missing.
Work and coordinate with relevant stakeholders including Operations, Retail, Risk, and People to resolve incidents and implement corrective actions.
Facilitate safety audits, incident investigations, and assist in implementing the designated solutions to prevent injury and/or damage to property. Provide status updates to the Manager of Loss Prevention and People Operations leadership.
Coordinate with the Manager of Loss Prevention to ensure safety controls are met and followed in the Distribution Center, stores, and corporate office.
Coordinate with General Managers to ensure that safety and security procedures and practices are followed in the retail environment.

Coach Distribution Center teams and Retail Operations teams on loss prevention, safety, and compliance practices.
