What you'll do:
Provide administrative/clerical support to the case review staff:
Open and distribute all incoming faxes and mail on a daily basis, update the case information and ensure that all pertinent information is captured on a timely and accurate basis.
Monitor incoming paperwork to ensure that the information is properly received and recorded on the designated forms and databases.
Perform data entry of individual case review and reviewer information into the case review database as necessary.
Review case review files daily and provide the Case Review Specialists and Case Review Managers with a current update on all case review activity.
Initiate the case review process by assisting clients with transmission of case specific information to the case managers via completion of a service request form or online portal submissions.
Assist Case Review Managers in following up with reviewers for specific cases via communication by telephone, e-mail, or fax.
Properly package, label and ship or fax, secure email, and upload to our secure web portal correspondence, medical record information and supporting documentation for case reviews to patients and clients.
Copy, scan and secure all patient medical records as required per individual case review and maintain confidentiality of individually identifiable health information per internal policies and procedures.
Properly label and file all case review documents and monitor access to the files.
Communicate with clients and reviewers, as necessary.
Monitor and triage all incoming telephone calls for the case review department and appropriately direct client and reviewer calls.
Assist with revisions, additions, and/or updates to policies and procedures, forms, or other documents utilized in the case review and credentialing process.
Properly package, label and ship medical record information and supporting documentation for case reviews to reviewers. Package and ship case review summaries, individual reviews, qualifications of reviewers, and other supporting documentation to clients according to standard procedures.
Forward completed files to Accounting for processing.
Electronically archive files at the completion of each case.
Assist in the preparation and distribution of proposal requests for the IMEDECS program.
Assist with answering and routing phone calls as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Assist with the orientation of new staff.
