Prepares for and participates in pre-enrollment, care planning, debriefing, staff meetings and discharge planning. Attends family meetings as necessary. Performs cognitive, linguistic, and swallowing evaluations as referred by the medical team. Conducts education and training for the participant, family, and caregivers regarding speech therapy treatment. Assists with the development of policies, procedures and applicable workflows. Frequently contributes to the development and implementation of new ideas and methods. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. Ability to pass a fit test. Position requires mask where seal is critical. Incumbent is required to not have facial hair that interferes with a tight seal of the respirator. Frequent local travel. Performs other duties as required.
