The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction in the administrative and academic affairs of the Roy H. Park School of Communications, and coordinate the development, planning, and assessment of curricular and co-curricular learning, facilities and technology to ensure the delivery of outstanding student learning opportunities and experiences. Primary responsibilities will be (a) curriculum and program development and management - designing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and managing curricular programs; (b) faculty affairs management - oversight and support of chairs and program directors in their efforts to manage faculty and developing policies, procedures, and systems to support faculty development. This includes conducting comprehensive data analysis in preparing and evaluating course schedules, allocating faculty workloads, and tracking faculty staffing, facility and resource budget projections. Reporting to the Dean, the Associate Dean serves as a key leader in the Park School and is responsible for maintaining smooth, efficient and effective college operations. The Associate Dean provides leadership and oversight for: program quality, academic personnel, assessment, faculty and student success, facilities planning and management, safety and university relations. The Associate Dean assists with strategic planning and implementation of initiatives related to the mission and vision of the School and the College. Serve on curriculum-related committees at the School and all-College level. Help ensure compliance with policies and procedures, research issues, analyze institutional data, prepare reports, make recommendations for changes in policy or procedures, and handle confidential problems that arise at the school.
