Research Associate, Executive Recruiting As Research Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting CoStar Group's executive hiring strategy by building strong, data-driven talent pipelines for senior-level and executive searches. You'll leverage research, market insights, and organizational mapping to identify and engage top-tier talent across the industry. Partnering closely with our Executive Recruiters, you will help design and execute thoughtful search strategies, ensuring a seamless and high-quality candidate experience from initial outreach through placement. Your work will directly contribute to driving efficient, informed, and impactful hiring decisions that support CoStar Group's ongoing growth and leadership objectives. Key Responsibilities: Design and carry out targeted search strategies for roles across levels and businesses, utilizing various tools and databases to identify high-potential candidates. Conduct market research to gather insights into candidate pools, competitor activity and industry trends to support informed recruitment decisions. Build and maintain a diverse pipeline of qualified candidates, proactively engaging with both active and passive candidates to establish relationships for current and future hiring needs. Manage multiple searches, tracking progress and deliverables to ensure an equitable and efficient experience for all involved. Work closely with recruiters to refine search approaches, share insights, and advise on talent strategies to meet critical business needs. Assist in preparing detailed candidate profiles and reports to support client presentations and hiring decisions. Stay updated on industry and market trends to improve search effectiveness and inform recruitment strategies. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in the candidate database, ensuring data accuracy and compliance. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College. Minimum 2-3 years of research or recruiting experience within a search firm or in-house recruiting team. Experience using tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter and industry publications for market mapping and talent identification. Proven experience conducting comprehensive research and using databases and industry sources to identify talent and gather market insights. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Experience working as part of a team, with the ability to collaborate effectively, sharing knowledge, and support colleagues. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in executive recruiting, including outreach, candidate engagement, and presentation to hiring stakeholders. Demonstrated success in delivering search services, particularly in high-impact roles. Capability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of recruiting systems and processes. These roles will serve as part of the research team working collaboratively and independently to collect and organize human subject data for funded research projects. Laboratory and research support responsibilities range from entry- to advanced-level. The primary responsibility for the position is to lead a strong extramurally funded leading-edge research program in cardiovascular science and will include some graduate teaching and mentoring of reserch projects of graduate, medical and undergraduate students. The position will be located at the FBRI on Virginia Tech's health sciences and technology campus in Roanoke, Virginia, immediately adjacent to the VTC School of Medicine and the Carilion Clinic and Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. There will be considerable opportunities to collaborate with our clinical partners. In addition to the position at the FBRI, the faculty member will also have a tenured or tenure-track (as appropriate) appointment in a VT department from among multiple colleges. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and growing community of scholars including scientists, physicians and physician-scientists focused on next generation approaches to cardiovascular research directed at having dramatic impacts on understanding, prevention, diagnoses, and treatment of disorders that impact cardiac function. The research seeks to develop and optimize LIFU as a new human brain mapping tool and for translation to clinical therapies in addiction, mental health and pain. Knowledge in basic computer skills, record keeping and experience with human data collection is required. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable working with a diverse population including clinical patients, engineers, and scientists. Experience working in a research laboratory is helpful but not mandatory. The lab requires the candidate to interact with patients, participants, clinicians and researchers on and off site to maintain operation of lab research activities including collection of human subjects data that includes using electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), electrocardiography (ECG), continuous blood-pressure monitoring, application of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and collection of behavioral data.     Apply now Back to search results Job no: 535024 Work type: Staff Senior management: Agriculture & Life Sciences Department: Tidewater AREC Job Description The Crop Physiology Lab at Virginia Tech' s Tidewater Agricultural Research and Extension Center (TAREC), in Suffolk, VA, is inviting applications for a Laboratory & Research Specialist position. The successful candidate will serve as the Manager of a multi-state project on faba bean winter production in the Mid-Atlantic region. The project includes areas of breeding, phenomics, genomics, agronomics, economics, food science and engineering. Successful candidate is expected to be creative, self-motivated and problem solving, and demonstrate evidence of technical writing. The position requires travel frequently to the testing sites in Virginia and occasionally in North Carolina, Maryland, and Delaware. The position is located at the TAREC in Suffolk, VA, and available for two years, with one year offered initially and renewed thereafter based on the appointee' s performance. The position can start as soon as Dec 2025. Virginia Tech is unable to sponsor applicants for work visas for this position. Required Qualifications * Must have a Bachelor's degree in agronomy, crop science, or related agricultural field or equivalent education and experience; general knowledge of crop production. * Ability to work in an agricultural setting during the entire growing season and during adverse weather conditions. * Experience with field equipment. * Demonstrated experience to work independently and in a team. * Demonstrated experience with preparing tables in Microsoft Excel and Word. * Licensed to operate a motor vehicle. Preferred Qualifications * Moderate to heavy lifting. * Must be able to work in the field conditions during entire growing season. * Safe driving license. Pay Band 3 Overtime Status Non-Exempt: Eligible for overtime Appointment Type Restricted Salary Information $53,000 - $55,000; commensurate with experience Hours per week 40 hours per week Review Date January 15, 2026 Additional Information The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
