Benefits, nothing else. Pay is mediocre
Just about everything. Management is horrible. There is absolutely no leadership or training 20+ year employee and it is getting worse every year. Walmart 2.0 after Sam Walton died.
Being able to leave after my 8 1/2 hours sentence
Nothing to like unless you like, having your hours cut and asked to work harder.
Don’t remember it’s been so long.
Give the employees they help they need instead of cutting hours. Management needs to be more approachable so they can understand the backbone of the companies needs.
Upper management says it’s the best in industry but the only thing they have that to compare to is Walmart.
DEI IS bullshit
driving out of the parking lot when I’m finished for the day.
Health Insurance and bonuses after you’ve worked the required hours to be eligible
I was a manager but stepped down when my spouse passed away unexpectedly. But was just a matter of time either way because the company’s changes drastically for the worst over the past few years. I had a conscious and would question things if I didn’t understand or agree with their expectations of my hard working employees. It’s all about making money and numbers which I get but I’m wasn’t willing to step over and on people to keep my position or desire to move up in company.
The benefits, yearly bonuses and time and a half on sundays which they currently just changed. Full time employees were scheduled 8hr shifts but were dropped down to no more than 6hr shifts per corporate. Just those couoke hrs cut make a huge difference on our checks. Matter of time before they do away with time and half on sundays now with new CEO. Costco culture has changed
Nothing positive or nice to say
Go back to basics and bring back Costco culture. Everything changed after Covid once they saw we could operate with less it is now expected and the new normal.
I do my homework, speak to employees and research company.
The pay use to be competitive and a place I’d be proud to say I worked. A job I use to be proud of but not anymore.
Costco is very diverse I’ll give them that
Honestly my co-workers and amazing customers
The pay is great bonus Vacation time and holiday pay. Is good you have to request your vacation time like 2 or 3 months in advance and they would approve based on seniority
Management is bad favoritism, Open door policy is more like open door policy to retaliation, Toxic environment, discrimination young employee have more chances to succeed than older people they don't allowed to work family members on the same warehouse unless you are related to managers or people from corporate than is okay to have family working at the same store or if you are buddies with managers you have more chance to succeed
Management from other states are more professionals but Texas management at warehouses and depot is terrible. Bullying favoritism retaliation nepotism Discrimination and toxic environment
My check and benefits
Benefits Stability Overall attitude from management is excellent
It’s Retail. Dealing directly with the public has its downside at times.
Having the opportunity to work and retire within only 23 or 24 years of work, is a true blessing. I’m grateful.
Steady growth

Act normal
Health benefits and wages.
Dis-organized management. Lack of communications between all levels of management. So much for supporting staff. Members are allowed to curse and yell at staff, making them feel harassed and threatened. Not allowed to defend themselves in some cases. "Call a manager" It was just a miss understanding, don't support employees by telling member that employee was correct and following policy. Got 3 day suspension for defending myself.
Wages and benefits. Some good teams to work for.
Have upper management train 2nd level management and supervisor staff communication skills. Pass of info to next person taking over.
Reviews company history and online reviews. Visited other locations to see daily operations. Surprised on difference in mgmt styles between stores.
Working with people within my dept. Seeing the weekly members and greeting them with a true sense of friendship.
My location is very diverse, both in race and sexual status. I get to learn about different cultures while at work and expanded my world.
There is several pros to working at Costco such as the benefits, including healthcare for $20 per paycheck, 401(k) company match, Stock options, and several different types of positions to go to such as IT, call center, warehouses, home offices, and regional offices
The cards for working at Costco can include rate of pay. Once you top out at around $29 There’s very limited motivation to move up in the company, A cashier with a company for five years can make $29 while was supervisor with the company for eight years will be making $30.
My favorite benefits at Costco is simply the amount of benefits Costco has to offer. Costco gives employees access to a benefits page that shows you everything costco has to offer to you for very limited cost or for free like $5 co-pay for doctors visits via 98point6 app or Costco being a good résumé builder with all the positions within one building, another perk is a free membership, at the end of the day, Costco has several things to offer an individual.
What I like best about Costco ‘s leadership team is there continued efforts to not increase prices during a struggling economy and constantly continuing to update procedures in a rapidly changing world.
I prepared for an interview at Costco by going over my real world experiences from previous employers and extracurricular activities, such as clubs or sports.
I would improve the company culture by having increased communication between the leadership team and every day employees on the front lines interacting with members.
And my experience, the compensation at Costco Wholesale compared to industry average has even out and recent years Starting wages at Costco used to be the highest the most retail stores now it’s even mostly across-the-board
The representation of diverse demographics within my organization is extremely good. There is many different cultures, personalities, and leadership styles displayed throughout Costco especially within the leadership.
Personally, the most fulfilling aspect of my work at Costco is interacting with Members and providing good customer service
There are many positions in the company, both in the warehouse and at corporate. Which is across the street from me.
The turn over from people being ambiguous is quite frequent at the Issaquah location, leading to inexperienced leaders.
There is often free food in the break rooms and they go a long way to make us comfortable. Like a mini store in the break room, sometime food trucks will come by for us and before open we can listen to music on speakers.
I haven’t met him personally, but I’ve seen him and he seems nice. And our GMs as well as Regional Manages are all quite friendly as well.
Making more set standards or expectations for incoming management. For example communicating with employees about what they know about the store instead of assuming.
Tahoma High School prepared me very well.
Great for industry average, competitive starting with other grocery’s and easy ways to get time and a half
Feels like a diverse work environment. I’m cool with it.
Working on details of staking before ope listening to music or going on break/helping friends.
The benefits, work life balance, and opportunities for growth, learning, promotions, training, and certifications.
Lack of communication within upper management and how serious HR matters are handled (not taken seriously or lack of investigation and accountability).
Opportunities for promotions.
Staying busy, good benefits.
Inconsistent schedule, poor management, lack of communication.
Health insurance, Sunday is time and a half.
The environment is pleasant to work in. There are people of all ages.
The managers can either be pretty cool and good people or they will be so bad at their job
every Sunday is overtime
Opportunities are available to learn many skill sets. The jobs are physical, it is easy to get into condition. The pay is better than other retail stores. The culture is focused on cleanliness, organization and friendliness to our members.
Management struggles in communication with their employees. Often times a manager will come behind a different manager with different requests and the employee gets in trouble for not following through with the first managers request. For the amount of work required, I feel the pay could improve.
The teammates are really sharp for the most part. The satisfaction of a hard day's work, is very satisfying. Meeting our members and building relationships, also the retirement and medical benefits are nice.
Organization, planning, physicality, and attention to detail all play a major part in my job performance.
Management lacks communication, attention to detail, and management skills.
Knowing that I came to work with the intention of doing my best, learning, and growing, and went home knowing that I did just that.
Benefits, pay and management
There is nothing that I don't like.
The pay, free eye exam and glasses every year. get paid time and half on Sunday, free membership. Store closes at 8:30pm Monday thru Friday and Saturday and Sunday 6pm. Good co workers
The ability to move around departments
The management was never really fair and only went by seniority when they thought it would be fit
Fast paced, busy, good pay
Definite separation between management and floor employees, communication results failures,
Holiday pay
Loved the team aspect.
Attitudes of some coworkers
Medical and the teamwork environment
Self starter, commission based, and I was a representative of a national corporation.
It was all good there
I was my own boss.
My coworkers
The managers, the amount of physical labor they made me do (8 hours pushing carts in the sun as a 90 lb female.), + the way they didn't work around my college schedule.
The benefits I got from Costco included a Costco card
The care management has for their employees
I didnt agree with some decisions they made based in who they hired and didn't fire
Healthcare
Stock price
The lack of creativity accepted from management
The flexibility for time off
Coworkers are nice, understanding, and the majority of supervisors/managers will have your back and are kind.
Many members/customers can become entitled and obnoxious.
Union
Great working environment and team.
The wear and tear on my body.
Its easy to relocate once your an employee. The health benefits are exceptional.
Leadership
Work life balance for warehouse operation managers
Health benefits, stock options and 401k
Micro management. No tranning. Treat senior employees bad. Turning into wallmart.
I liked the management, employees, and the overall experience of working there.
fast-paced work environment
highschool styled management
Healthcare and the ability to obtain dental
Hourly employees are great hard working people
No communication, no leadership, top down management, authoritarian style management, no room for creativity or innovation. Everyday you work there is the exact same... It's like the movie Groundhog day, but real life. "Member's" pay a yearly fee and therefore expect to be treated like royalty.
The benefits are the only reason I have stayed with Costco as long as I have.
Great pay and benefits. Excellent corporate level.
In store managerial level can be very hit or miss with attitude and ability to work professionally
Pay currently starts at 15 with regular increases
Keeping the food court clean
I was only in one area the food court
Having a great team
Pay and benefits
They don't seem to tolerate people with disabilities. Employees with disabilities that are not able to work on the 'front end' seem to be viewed as a problem employee by management.
Retirement plan and health benefits
CoWorkers, hours
Seniority, people are put in positions they are't qualified to hold. Some managers are promoted based on time rather than merit. Poor leadership. They don't listen to their employees. They ask for your input but don't really want to hear it!
Coworkers + discounts + hours. Generally had stable hours.
No upward mobility/growth. Lots of seasoned employees waiting to fill in any management roles.
Benefits for Part Timers. Minimum hours. Automatic pay raise every set amount of hours worked.
