Health Insurance and bonuses after you’ve worked the required hours to be eligible

I was a manager but stepped down when my spouse passed away unexpectedly. But was just a matter of time either way because the company’s changes drastically for the worst over the past few years. I had a conscious and would question things if I didn’t understand or agree with their expectations of my hard working employees. It’s all about making money and numbers which I get but I’m wasn’t willing to step over and on people to keep my position or desire to move up in company.

The benefits, yearly bonuses and time and a half on sundays which they currently just changed. Full time employees were scheduled 8hr shifts but were dropped down to no more than 6hr shifts per corporate. Just those couoke hrs cut make a huge difference on our checks. Matter of time before they do away with time and half on sundays now with new CEO. Costco culture has changed

Nothing positive or nice to say

Go back to basics and bring back Costco culture. Everything changed after Covid once they saw we could operate with less it is now expected and the new normal.

I do my homework, speak to employees and research company.

The pay use to be competitive and a place I’d be proud to say I worked. A job I use to be proud of but not anymore.

Costco is very diverse I’ll give them that

Dis-organized management. Lack of communications between all levels of management. So much for supporting staff. Members are allowed to curse and yell at staff, making them feel harassed and threatened. Not allowed to defend themselves in some cases. "Call a manager" It was just a miss understanding, don't support employees by telling member that employee was correct and following policy. Got 3 day suspension for defending myself.

Wages and benefits. Some good teams to work for.

Have upper management train 2nd level management and supervisor staff communication skills. Pass of info to next person taking over.

Reviews company history and online reviews. Visited other locations to see daily operations. Surprised on difference in mgmt styles between stores.

Working with people within my dept. Seeing the weekly members and greeting them with a true sense of friendship.

My location is very diverse, both in race and sexual status. I get to learn about different cultures while at work and expanded my world.

There are many positions in the company, both in the warehouse and at corporate. Which is across the street from me.

The turn over from people being ambiguous is quite frequent at the Issaquah location, leading to inexperienced leaders.

There is often free food in the break rooms and they go a long way to make us comfortable. Like a mini store in the break room, sometime food trucks will come by for us and before open we can listen to music on speakers.

I haven’t met him personally, but I’ve seen him and he seems nice. And our GMs as well as Regional Manages are all quite friendly as well.

Making more set standards or expectations for incoming management. For example communicating with employees about what they know about the store instead of assuming.

Tahoma High School prepared me very well.

Great for industry average, competitive starting with other grocery’s and easy ways to get time and a half

Feels like a diverse work environment. I’m cool with it.

Working on details of staking before ope listening to music or going on break/helping friends.

Worklife balance and benefits.

Working Weekends away from toddler son.
