POSITION REQUIREMENTS Level 1 Residential Treatment Specialist 1. A High School diploma is required. Bachelor's degree in a human service field preferred. 2. Must be 19 years of age or older, and have one year demonstrated experience with youth. Previous experience with adolescents in a residential setting strongly preferred. 3. Demonstrate the ability to form and maintain nurturing relationships with emotionally disturbed children. 4. Ability to complete written documentation. 5. Must have a current driver's license and driver's insurance. Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work. 6. Participate fully and positively as a member of the treatment team while following directions of Residential Treatment Specialist Supervisor. o Attend team meetings, staff meetings, in-service training and other meetings as requested by your supervisor. o Assist newly hired staff members in learning proper procedures, routines and agency policies. o Perform duties surrounding transportation of residents to community appointments and activities as requested by the Residential Treatment Specialist Supervisor. o Assumes responsibility to maintain physical plant and ensure cottages, building, grounds, and vehicles are kept in good condition. Complete maintenance requests and give to the Maintenance Supervisor. o Prepare meals as directed or assist residents in cooking special meals. Staff are required to spend their meal period eating with the clients on a regular basis. o Aid in supervising the children's vocational work as requested by your supervisor and cottage milieu. o Maintains professionalism when acting as agency liaison during interactions with residents' families, parents and caregivers. o Third shift: Must be awake at all times and conduct 15 minute room checks. Assists participants with completing paperwork and gathering necessary documents to complete resource applications. Implements case management or other Social Work interventions as assessed and delegated by Master's Level Social Worker (MSWCSW). Works in tandem with MSW to ensure interventions are provided within scope of practice and to meet the psychosocial needs of the PACE participants. We provide services in primary health care, dental, ob-gyn, and behavioral health, and are looking for a full-time integrated behavioral health counselor to join our amazing team! Job Duties: -Direct patient care is the primary job function. -Perform initial screening and evaluations/assessment; administer, score, and perform initial screening tests; interview and observe clients; write clinical reports and develop/implement treatment plans. -Provide family counseling according to established principles and best practices. -Provide brief intervention therapy for mental health conditions or behavioral components of chronic medical conditions. -Provide intervention/treatments, conduct individual and group counseling, and administer therapy. -Use appropriate interviewing techniques and/or instruments to develop an accurate diagnostic summary and treatment plan. -Provide in-depth assessment services and diagnostic summaries. Select methods of counseling/treatment to be employed and provide individual, group, and family counseling services. -Use information to provide accurate diagnoses. -Provide appropriate treatment to patients, as determined by the assessment process. -Document each encounter appropriately in the electronic health record as directed by the policies and procedures of Centerpoint Health. -This position may require occasional travel throughout the state and nation to attend meetings, seminars, or conferences. -Some administrative and business duties may be part of this job function. -Other duties as assigned. Certifications/Credentials: Education: Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field. Certification and Licensure: LISW, LPCC, Psy-D or PhD in Psychology. Experience: Two years of experience as a clinician is preferred; one year of experience in an integrated behavioral health setting preferred. Additional Skills/Qualifications: -Ability to proficiently perform case reviews, assessments, diagnoses, and treatments with patients. -Possess strong working knowledge of evidence-based therapies and services, clinical assessment, interviewing skills and data collection.
