About the Role:
The Rapid Rehousing Case Manager supports individuals and families experiencing homelessness by helping them secure permanent housing quickly and achieve long-term stability. This role manages Coordinated Entry System (CES) housing matches, provides housing-focused case management, and collaborates with community partners to ensure equitable and efficient placement into available housing resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate permanent housing referrals by working with housing providers, housing authorities, developers, and supportive housing partners.
Manage CES data using HMIS, track housing inventory and outcomes, and support grant/contract reporting.
Ensure timely, fair, and accurate matching to housing resources across the CoC.
Analyze housing utilization data and recommend system improvements.
Assist participants in securing permanent housing, including conducting assessments and creating individualized housing stabilization plans.
Build and maintain strong landlord relationships to support placement and housing retention.
Provide tenancy support such as budgeting guidance, lease education, and conflict mediation.
Record all services according to CoC workflows and documentation standards.

Understanding of housing resources, subsidies, CES protocols, and local/federal housing programs.
Experience with homeless service systems, mainstream resources, and systems-level change.
Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders.

Join us in the "City of Arts and Innovation", Winston Salem, North Carolina on the campus of The University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA)! UNCSA is the nation's first public arts conservatory! Our Residential Summer programs feature intensives in dance, drama, filmmaking, music, and visual arts and lasts approximately five (5) weeks for students in high school.
Resident Counselors and Activity Coordinator Positions
These two positions are temporary part-time staff members, who are required to live in the residence hall (Artist Village). Resident Counselors are responsible for the general supervision and management of a residential area housing approximately one floor of high school students.
The Activities Coordinators assist with the planning and implementation of fun and engaging programs for our campers. Activity Coordinators are also responsible for the general supervision and management of a residential area housing approximately one floor of high school students.
COMPENSATION:
Compensation is $3,420, for an approximate five-week commitment of work (including training for one week)

Work Schedule and Hours

Work ranges from 30 to 35 hours per week.

These two positions are temporary part-time staff members, who are required to live in the residence hall (Artist Village). Resident Counselors are responsible for the general supervision and management of a residential area housing approximately one floor of high school students.

Complete an intake assessment including: medical history, general physical condition, alcohol and drug histories and current use, educational issues, family structure and relationships, vocational history and goals, legal history and issues, psychiatric history (including, onset, course, effect of illness, treatment history, medication history risk behaviors).
11. Ensure immediate and appropriate interventions are provided in response to changes in mental status which may put individual at risk.

This Opportunity:The primary function of the Mobile Crisis Professional III is to work as a member of a Mobile Crisis Team to provide crisis intervention though psychiatric crisis assessments and assist in short-term crisis service planning and coordination in order to de-escalate and stabilize potential situations in an effort to maintain and promote safety. This position may facilitate when necessary involuntary commitment and placement in higher levels of care.What You'll Do:
• Work with team on appropriate assessments, intervention methods and multi-axial diagnosis.
• Provide direct services to individuals who have requested services or who need services as identified by Screening, Triage and Referral (STR), the MCM Team, or community service providers such as hospitals and law enforcement.
• Provide intervention methods such as: face-to-face or telephone assessment, behavior of family intervention, hospital or respite placement, recommendation for further intervention, the creation of a crisis plan, or follow up with assessment.
• Assess individuals who are in crisis, to determine their level of service needed.
• Evaluate the individual's support system, the family's or caregiver's ability to maintain the individual in the community given the present situation, and determine the level of immediate support needed.
• Provide clinical services including in-depth crisis assessment and behavior interventions.
• Facilitate the least restrictive and safest environment for the individual requesting services. These arrangements may include hospitalization, voluntary and involuntary commitment or other placement.
• Serve as liaison along with the provider and STR or other appropriate service providers to arrange for clinically appropriate follow up service for the individual and their family.
• Work closely with the on-call psychiatrists in the management and determination or needed level of care.
• Assist in training necessary for implementation of crisis services, to include training to staff who may be confronted with crisis situations, and serve as a resource for other training as necessary.
• CSAC, LCAS, or CCS certified/licensed staff may also facilitate groups, individual sessions, and otherwise be available as needed to support the substance abuse recovery of individuals attending non-hospital medical detoxification program/facility based crisis program.
• Attend and actively participate in meetings and training as required. Maintain certification in all agency, state and federal training requirements.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures, as well as state and federal statutes and regulations related to specific program areas.
• Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and assist in crisis situations.
• Follow service definition guidelines for services being provided.
• Complete all other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
• Driving and travel may be required.
