PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Responsible for providing personal care services to patients at the facility under the direction of clinical or nursing leadership.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Ensure the well being of patients and provide a positive, supportive and structured environment, under direction of charge nurse or supervisor.
· Patient safety is addressed through required rounds completed timely. Patient room is clean and uncluttered. Observation may be assigned every 15 minutes, within reach of patient and/or 1:1 patient care.
· Obtain patient's vital signs, height and weight as assigned. Ensure documentation of information.
· Identify self to patient and visitors promptly and respond to patient requests quickly.
· Engage with patient in activities and interactions designed to encourage achievement of treatment goals.
· Respond to distressed patient in a non-threatening manner and attempt to understand the source of distress.
· Applies de-escalation techniques to help manage patient's emotions, behavior and participation in treatment and assist with seclusion and restraint when necessary.
· As part of the multidisciplinary team provide safety and increase coping skills of patient and assist in developing strategies for helping patients to be as independent as possible.
· Collaborate with other staff in working with the population of the facility to treat, rehabilitate and return patient to the community.
· Monitor behavioral improvements and reinforce these behaviors. Report changes and responses to treatment by communicating with team. Significant changes are reported to nurse immediately.
· Reinforce skills patients learn from nurses, physicians, therapist that promote improved physical and mental wellness.
· Lead or co-lead individual or group sessions as part of specific recreational or therapeutic procedures.
· May participate in rehabilitation and treatment programs as well as teach strategies to promote patient wellness and independence.
· May oversee or assist patients with activities of daily living, including toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, meals, snacks, hydration and changing bed linens.
· Deliver care based on the priority of needs and available resources to the specific service population of the facility.
· May help with admissions and discharges.
· Assist in providing guidance and direction to other staff members, including training of new staff.
· May provide transportation for patient or coordinate transportation with appropriate staff member.
· Quality of work exhibited through accuracy, neatness, and timeliness of work completed.
· Adherence to work schedule and overall attendance.
· Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
· Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· One or more years' experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.
· 6 months experience performing the duties of a BHA2 preferred.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
· CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
· First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for training and managing a team of assistant supervisors/BCaBAs and behavior technicians/RBTs in the implementation of individualized treatment plans using the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). In this role, you will be responsible for completing functional behavior assessments (FBA), as well as creating and maintaining individualized ABA-based programs for our clients. The BCBA works closely with the Operations and Clinical Teams to ensure quality of care, authorization, supervision, and implementation of treatment plans are provided in the effective outcome for our clients. The BCBA creates and models culture throughout her or his daily interactions with every individual in the clinic, school, home, and community settings. The BCBA oversees and provides training to the clinical team that directly impacts each client on his or her caseload in all environments where treatment occurs. Your Role at Axis for Autism:
Conduct clients intake assessments inclusive of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and curricular assessments and assist in the on-boarding of new clients
Develop the initial and ongoing treatment plans and make regular program modifications
Create treatment protocols and behavior support plans
Conduct face-to-face supervision for assigned clients
Communicate regularly with parents to facilitate the clinical objectives of the client's treatment plan
Meet regularly with the Clinical Director to review treatment plans, discuss case conceptualization, and problem solve any barriers to client progress
Oversee a team of assistant supervisors/BCaBAs and behavior technicians/RBTs including regular supervision of treatment, ongoing training, support and mentorship, and conducting performance evaluations (informal and formal)
Conduct regular parent training to ensure treatment fidelity across caregivers and promotes generalization of skills across environments
Develop managerial and leadership skills on an ongoing basis
Ensure that medical record documentation protocols are complied with established organizational procedures
Provide supervision and oversight to clinicians pursuing certification
Work ethically and with integrity while following the BACB Ethical Code
Understand and adhere to HIPAA policies
Keep current with the literature, new research findings and resources

Who You Are:
Passionate about helping individuals with developmental disabilities to reach their best potential
Masters or Doctoral degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis, Psychology, Education, Special Education or related field
BCBA certification and in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board required

(One calendar year of experience in the Pima County Victim Witness Volunteer Program encompassing a minimum of 240 volunteer hours, will satisfy one of year experience as a Victim Advocate.)

Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
The Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) manages and maintains the safety of the individuals and staff. Takes vitals and assists individuals in meeting their needs while on the unit by providing exceptional customer service. Documents services provided and significant interactions in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
* Conducts security screening and inventories property of individuals upon admission to the facility. Provides orientation to the Observation Unit and Short-term Inpatient Unit. Educates individuals on their rights under DBHDS and DMAS regulations, grievance process, provides expectations, and explains rules and regulations.
* Maintains safety of the unit.
* Intervenes with escalated individuals using therapeutic techniques for de-escalation and performs restraints or seclusions (if applicable) when needed to ensure the individual's safety and the safety of others. Completes 1-to-1 on an individual in seclusion or mechanical restraints for 15 minutes.
* Lifts, moves, and transports individuals using proper body mechanics or accident prevention.
* Assists individuals with activities of daily living to include eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, and transferring.
* Conducts and documents individual's vitals and reports all questionable results to the RN/Physician attending the individual. Conducts and documents all BAL, urine drug screens, and urine pregnancy tests.
* Attends court ordered hearings when subpoenaed and be a witness on a petition and provide testimony at court ordered hearings.
* Documents all services and significant individual interactions in the Electronic Health Record.

What You'll Do:
The Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) is responsible for managing and maintaining the safety and well-being of individuals and staff within the unit, ensuring high standards of care, and support for both adults and youth. This role involves conducting vital signs assessments, assisting individuals with daily needs, and providing exceptional customer service. The specialist will also accurately document services provided and significant interactions in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Educates patients on their rights under ADHS regulations, grievance process, provides expectations, and explains rules and regulations.
Intervenes with escalated individuals using therapeutic techniques for de-escalation and performs restraints/seclusions when needed to ensure the individual's safety and the safety of others. Completes 1-to-1 on a patient in seclusion or mechanical restraints Q15.
Lifts, moves, and transports individuals using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention.
Assists individuals with activities of daily living to include eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, and transferring.
Conducts and documents individual's vitals and reports all questionable results to the RN/Physician attending the individual. Conducts and documents all BAL, urine drug screens, and urine pregnancy tests.
Attends court ordered hearings when subpoenaed. Must be willing to be a witness on a petition and available to provide testimony at court ordered hearings.
Documents all services and significant individual interactions in the Electronic Health Record. Monitors and documents patients Q15.
Responsible for maintaining and ensuring the cleanliness of the facility and designated assigned unit. Performs light cleaning of interior center, collects soiled linen, and launders individuals clothing when needed.

Job Title: Janitor - (Evening Shift) Location: Tucson, AZ
Hours: Monday - Friday 3PM - 11:30PM (Fulltime)
***Daytime availability during summer, winter, and spring breaks, with a starting time of 7AM***
Key Responsibilities:
Provide daily leadership, direction, and motivation to a team of custodians.
Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to ServiceMaster standards and meet client expectations.
Act as the point of contact between team members and ServiceMaster management.
Perform regular walk-throughs at assigned school sites to monitor cleanliness and address any concerns.
Assign work duties and adjust schedules based on team availability and site needs.
Train new team members on cleaning protocols, equipment usage, and safety practices.
Manage and track cleaning supplies, request restocks, and maintain inventory at each site.
Secure school facilities at the end of each shift, including locking doors and setting alarms where required.
Report maintenance needs and incidents to appropriate school personnel and ServiceMaster leadership.
Ensure all safety and compliance guidelines are followed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass a drug screen test
Ability to pass a background check required by the school district
Able to obtain Fingerprint Clearance card or currently possess one***
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ years of janitorial, custodial, or related experience
Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role a plus
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred, but not required

Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
The Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) is responsible for managing and maintaining the safety and well-being of individuals and staff within the unit, ensuring high standards of care, and support for both adults and youth. This role involves conducting vital signs assessments, assisting individuals with daily needs, and providing exceptional customer service. The specialist will also accurately document services provided and significant interactions in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
* Conducts security screening and inventories property of individuals upon admission to the facility. Provides orientation to the Observation Unit and Short-term Inpatient Unit. Educates patients on their rights under ADHS regulations, grievance process, provides expectations, and explains rules and regulations.
* Intervenes with escalated individuals using therapeutic techniques for de-escalation and performs restraints/seclusions when needed to ensure the individual's safety and the safety of others. Completes 1-to-1 on a patient in seclusion or mechanical restraints Q15.
* Lifts, moves, and transports individuals using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention.
* Assists individuals with activities of daily living to include eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, and transferring.
* Conducts and documents individual's vitals and reports all questionable results to the RN/Physician attending the individual. Conducts and documents all BAL, urine drug screens, and urine pregnancy tests.
* Attends court ordered hearings when subpoenaed. Must be willing to be a witness on a petition and available to provide testimony at court ordered hearings.
