    Responsibilities The Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) - IOP will provide direct clinical services to individuals enrolled in the Intensive Outpatient Program. This role is responsible for conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, facilitating group and individual counseling sessions and monitoring client progress. They will also collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address clients' physical, psychological, and social needs, with the goal of promoting successful recovery. Additional responsibilities include: * Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine client's substance use history, mental health status and treatment needs utilizing ASAM Placement Criteria. * Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the client and interdisciplinary team. * Provide clinical services in accordance with the Intensive Outpatient Program schedule, typically including multiple group sessions per week. * Facilitate structured IOP group therapy sessions using approved curriculum and evidence-based approaches. * Provide individual and family counseling as needed. * Monitor and document client programs, attendance, and participation in accordance with program standards and licensing requirements. * Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries, ASAM and compliance documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). * Coordinate care with external providers, case managers, probation/parole officers, and other relevant parties. * Make referrals as needed for mental health concerns and medication assisted treatment. * Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, case conferences, and training. * Uphold client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and all legal and ethical standards. * Assist with crisis intervention and provide referrals for higher levels of care when necessary. * Support clients in developing recovery plans. * Support program development and outcome monitoring as requested by leadership. * Facilitate the 12-Hour Drinking Driving Course either in person, remotely, including day, evening and weekend hours. * Other duties as assigned. Requirements Education * High School Diploma or equivalent required. * Bachelor's or master's degree highly preferred in a relevant area of study such as Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Human Services, or Criminal Justice is preferred. Experience: * Minimum of 3 years' experience facilitating group therapy in an IOP or similar level of care required. * Experience with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. * Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR)s systems and proficiency in computer applications. Knowledge/Skills: * Knowledge of ASAM criteria and DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for substance use disorders. * Knowledge of addiction treatment principles, evidenced-based practices, and ethical guidelines. * Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills. * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with diverse populations. * Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment. * Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards of practice. Licenses/Certifications: * Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC) as described by the Iowa Board of Substance Abuse Certification is required. * Mandatory Reporter of Child/Dependent Adult Abuse Certification or the ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire and every three (3) years thereafter required. This position formulates service delivery plans, implements case plans upon approval of the supervisor, provides treatment and guidance in line with accepted modules, and develops and refers clients to appropriate community resources. A Social Worker credential and a substance abuse credential from the Wisconsin DSPS is required to be considered. Salary Information Social Worker is in pay schedule and range 12-64 and Social Worker - Senior is in pay schedule and range 12-63. Starting pay will be set based on full years of non-training Social Work Credentialing in Wisconsin. POSITION SUMMARY:The Performing Arts Program Counselor provides campers with a physically and emotionally safe space to practice creative expression through performing art activities such as stage combat, dance, comedy, creative writing, scene design, costume design, performance, and more. POSITION AVAILABILITY:This position is an onsite, overnight position and must be available the following dates: Staff Orientation: June 18 - 24 Session 1: June 27 - July 8 Session 2: July 11 - 22 Session 3: July 25 - August 5 Teen Camp and Camp Clean-up: August to 8 - 13 BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY Live in a cabin with a co-counselor and 8 campers, and provide active supervision and attention to the physical and emotional wellbeing of campers during all on-duty hours. Foster a supportive environment where campers feel empowered to explore new experiences, build confidence, and grow through performing arts activities. Complete participation notes and attendance notes daily for all campers who attend performing arts activities. Communicate with co-counselor and supervisor appropriately to balance responsibilities as a program instructor with responsibilities as a cabin counselor. Actively participate in camp life and programming outside of performing arts activities including evening activities, camper choice time, theme days, bus duty, and more. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This position is compensated at a rate of $700 per week, pre-tax. Summer seasonal staff are paid on a bi-weekly basis and are classified as exempt, seasonal employees. This position is eligible for a $50 weekly bonus for valid lifeguard certification during weeks worked. All meals are provided during camp sessions. EDUCATIONAL, CERTIFICATIONS, & LICENSING REQUIREMENTS Must be at least 18 and/or have a high school diploma/GED before the position start date to apply. REPORTING AND RELATIONSHIPS The Performing Arts Program Counselor will report to a Program Coordinator with direction from the Assistant Director of Camp Programs and a Village Coordinator. PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS The mental and physical requirements and work environment conditions described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Staff are required to actively participate in all camper activities, including water related activities. Staff must be ready for new experiences and maintain a consistent level of energy all summer long. Position requires standing, stooping, sitting, walking long distances on uneven terrain (5+ miles a day), and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds with or without assistance. Camp activities are often loud, involving many people talking, yelling, cheering, etc., in indoor and outdoor settings. The camp environment is often hot, rainy, with bugs or other wildlife. Staff must be able to work outside in a nature setting for sustained periods of time without air conditioning. All PEAK Initiative properties, including Lake Valley Camp and the Milwaukee Program Center, are substance-free environments. Smoking, vaping, alcohol consumption, and the use of illicit drugs are strictly prohibited on all property regardless of whether or not staff are on break. Staff must be able to walk and perform activities in the dark in an outdoor, nature setting. Staff must be able to sleep in a tent outdoors. Staff must be able to eat in a dining hall setting with 100+ people. The dining hall will be very busy and very noisy during these times and staff are expected to supervise and sit with their cabins throughout the meals. Staff must be able to eat family style meals in a dining hall for 3 meals a day. Sample menus available upon request. With pre-summer notice, the kitchen can accommodate most medical or value-based dietary restrictions. Position requires working weekends and nights, with time off in between camp sessions. Camp days are often long and at times require late night camper support, especially for Leadership Team Members and Health Staff. Staff will have daily scheduled breaks. Staff will have a combination of work and on call hours for up to 22 hours a day for several consecutive days. Staff must be able to reside in shared housing on the LVC overnight camp property in Boscobel, WI starting with staff training in June and ending after the last camp program lets out in mid-August. Staff must be able to live and sleep in housing with campers. Cabins have electricity, but no plumbing. Staff and campers are required to use communal bath houses located within the village.
