The LPHA Interventionist is primarily responsible for monitoring services and providing intervention to individuals with a positive screening for various measures, especially those centralized around DSRIP. Such interventions include, but are not limited to, tobacco cessation, alcohol, depression, and/or suicidal ideation. The LPHA Interventionist uses a basic knowledge of diagnostic characteristics, symptomology of primary mental illness and knowledge of medications, side effects and benefits to provide services in a person-centered, supportive, office-based environment.
