2. Performs all procedures accurately, completely and efficiently for clients in accordance with applicable program policies and procedures.

3. Performs biopsychosocial intakes and assessments, and explores diagnoses with course of treatment.

4. Develops treatment plans, which include measurable goals and objectives.

5. Facilitates psycho-education classes, group therapy, support groups and individual counseling as assigned.

6. Participates in case conference with multidisciplinary treatment team to determine the best course of treatment for clients and to address all of the client’s needs.

7. Works with clients to help them develop life skills to be used after discharge.

8. Provides discharge planning and links clients with additional services in the community.

Ability to complete a bio-psycho-social for substance abuse/dependence

Ability to speak, read and write English

Must be able to work independently and complete assignments with minimal supervision

New Beginnings, an outpatient program is excited to welcome an intern. This is an opportunity for a student seeking 880-hour internship as part of an approved Alcohol and Drug Counseling program in an education institution preparing students to become Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors.

+ The student will practice the 12 core functions of Alcohol and Drug Counseling in a hands-on experience at a high-intensity MICD residential treatment program.

+ The student will initially work in tandem with a full-time LADC and eventually complete 12 core function activities including but not limited to: comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, aftercare planning, consultation with other professionals, group and individual therapy and psychoeducation.

+ The individual in this role must demonstrate skills that benefit a therapeutic relationship including; good listening skills, compassionate, trustworthy, flexible and willing to learn.

+ Completion of the internship is a requirement to become an LADC through BBHT.

Clinical Therapist Job Description


The clinical therapist will provide outpatient individual and group therapy to clients of Breaking Free Services Center for Wellness, located in Tarpon Springs, FL. Clinical therapy services include the treatment of adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families. We are looking for therapists who possess our core values: flexibility, warmth, love of having fun, lifetime learner/hard worker, loyalty, professional and team-oriented. In need of registered interns who specialize or WANT to work in the following area: 1. Couples and Families 2. Eating Disorders 3.Trauma/Grief/Loss 4.Music Therapy (this would be amazing!!!) 5. Art Therapy. 6. Children's Therapy 7. Working with Teens and Families. Please only apply if you have experience/training/desire to work with the needed areas. We are looking to hire full-time (W2 salary), full time W2 fee for service of full or part time 1099 contract for a therapist whose niche is in one of these areas.




Minimal Qualification Requirements


Masters’ degree or higher in counseling or social work Active, unrestricted license (Registered Intern Status) in the State of Florida (must be in possession of this license in order to be hired). A copy must be provided to Breaking Free Services. Available to hold 28 client sessions per week if full time, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by Breaking Free Services.


Other Qualification Preferences


Prior experience in a private practice setting Have at least one niche market for counseling services (i.e., children, teens, trauma, anxiety, grief, anger management, substance use disorder etc.). Willingness to learn & grow one’s breadth of practice Desire to be active in the community & make connections to build the practice Ready to not only LOVE what you do but LOVE where you get to do it at!
