Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, the Counselor Intern provides counseling and/or therapy to adults afflicted with the disease of substance abuse and/or dependence. Performs all procedures accurately, completely and efficiently for clients in accordance with applicable program policies and procedures. In pertaining to licensure; LAC staff shall work under the supervision of an LPC and LSW staff shall work under the supervision of LCSW. Assists in the setting of goals and the implementation of the process to begin to achieve those goals. Designs the treatment plan in conjunction with the client to facilitate the treatment process.
