Part Time Youth Crisis Center Counselor When youth experience a behavioral health crisis, they require a focused level of attention and care. As a Clinician / Therapist with our Youth Behavioral Health Community Crisis Center team, you will focus on building healthy relationships and teaching appropriate social skills, coping skills, and anger management skills to the youth in need. This position works with the client to complete initial assessments, provide crisis counseling, conduct individual/group/family counseling, coordinate with other service providers on a treatment plan, maintain accurate and timely documentation, use de-escalation techniques as necessary, and identify discharge goals for the client. The staff at our Community Crisis Center work as part of an interdisciplinary team focusing on crisis intervention skills to de-escalate, treat and stabilize behavioral health needs of individuals. Description
MST (Multisystemic Therapy) is a scientifically proven treatment model that targets youth 12-17 who are exhibiting delinquent type behaviors such as running away, substance use, defiance, aggression, and truancy. Therapists work closely with parents and caregivers to leverage change by working in families' homes and in the community.
This position provides in-home services for the Eagle, CO area.

What does an MST therapist do?
Maintain small, intensive caseload of 5-6 families.
Conduct therapy in the community, in family's homes.
Use the following theories: CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Behavior Modification, Structural and Strategic Family Therapies.
Prevent out of home placement/incarceration.
Break cycle of system involvement
Empower families to create lasting change
Engage primary caregiver and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment.
Meet weekly for group supervision and expert consultation.
