Behavioral Intervention Professionals help clients (ages 3-21) acquire and demonstrate everyday skills to lead a more independent life. Most clients are children; however, the age groups can fluctuate. Proficiencies being coached in this position may include but are not limited to social skills, how to communicate wants and needs, personal care needs (e.g., hygiene, toileting), and how to appropriately and effectively interact with others. Most therapy is conducted off-site including at the client's home, in social settings, and/or in various other community locations. The majority of sessions are conducted one-on-one and requires a great deal of time, persistence, and patience.
