Responsibilities 1. Completes bereavement assessments as needed. 2. Facilitates support groups, provides bereavement services to the community, and individual counseling within the school system. 8. Assists in screening/interviewing prospective bereavement volunteers and works closely with volunteer coordinator. In the absence of the bereavement coordinator assists in overseeing bereavement volunteers tasks and responsibilities. 9. Participates with training of prospective volunteers, staff, etc., in conjunction with the Bereavement Coordinator. 10. Provides consultation to members of staff, families, community agencies, and other persons seeking guidance with grief issues, as time permits. 11. Plans and develops new bereavement programs in conjunction with the Bereavement Coordinator.
