JOB SUMMARY:
The Total Inter-Agency Model for Education (TIME) program was developed in 1985 as a self-contained, complete, alternative school to meet the needs of adjudicated, emotionally disturbed, and other high-risk youth who were unable to function in a conventional educational setting. Our philosophy, derived from Native American tradition, focuses on "The Circle of Courage" as the cornerstone of creating a positive educational climate for today's discouraged youth. As the Youth Worker, you will provide direct support to high-risk youth and their families to determine and implement the most appropriate educational options to meet each student's unique needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE TIME YOUTH WORKER:
Maintain one-on-one contact in school and family contact as needed.
Monitor client's attendance, behavior, and grades. Report these findings to parents and other providers.
Analyze client histories, capabilities, and needs to determine services required to meet clients' treatment needs.
Create and review individual client's Plans of Care.
Organize and facilitate structured group, individual, and/or family activities.
Organize and facilitate Community Service Work hours and Service Learning Projects on a weekly basis.
Provide supervision and support to youth placed in the Summer Youth Employment Program.
LOCATION: Position is based at Hillcrest School in Kenosha, WI and works a hybrid model of time spent within the school and out in the community.
SCHEDULE: Work hours are typically Monday-Friday during school hours with occasional evenings. Position works year-round through the summer.

Developing and updating Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) as needed in adherence to the company, school, state and federal regulations and procedure.
Attending and participating in IEP team meeting, facilitating at the discretion of the school districts.
Actively participating in other team meetings when necessary to address specific student and parent concerns.
Collaborating with education and social services professionals (for example wrap- around, probation officers, court systems) to develop appropriate agency services for students and their families.
Providing case management functions for students, which include but are not limited to, coordination of parent meetings, emergency transportation requests, and coordination with therapists outside the school setting.
Collaborating and consulting with teachers, parents/guardians, district personnel, and service providers to find effective solutions to learning and behavior problems; always establishing and maintaining effective public relations and projecting a positive company image.
Ensuring the use of positive social skill teaching methods by conducting monthly direct observation of classroom staff's implementation of IEP goals and/or Behavior Intervention Plans/ Treatment Plans.
Providing guidance, consultation, and assistance to teachers in the development of classroom schedules, maintenance of student data systems and facilitation of student transition plans to assure appropriate schedules and services based on each student's Individual Education Plan (IEP) and/or other applicable goals.

‖ Qualifications Required:
Master's degree or higher in social work, educational counseling, therapy or a closely related field of study.
Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining an IL professional educator license (PEL) school support personnel endorsement.
Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) credential.
Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company approved crisis management (PCM) training.

As a summer camp counselor, you will be an integral part of our summer camp team, specializing in non-formal environmental education day camp programming for children ages 4-14. You will plan, develop and co-teach programs specializing in urban outdoor recreation activities at one or multiple of our UEC branches.
The UEC will hire fifteen (15) Summer Camp Counselors.
Our Summer Employment and Internship Experience:
The Summer Camp Counselor is paid a stipend of $1,120 on a bi-weekly basis.
This role is allotted 3 days (24 hours) of PTO for planned vacation or sick days.
You will attend training for the first two weeks of your experience, with opportunities for further learning & development throughout the summer. We host both a Summer Kickoff event and an End of Summer Celebration.

Planning processes for summer camp
You will attend and participate in required trainings, including licensed Wisconsin Day Camp training June 15th-19th and utilize the training while leading programs throughout the summer.
You will collaborate with summer camp educators and directors to develop age-appropriate weekly program plans, activities and games.
Create camper-centered programming throughout the summer and prepare materials for activities (both digitally and manually).
Co-teach week-long and multi-week summer camps
Lead day camp activities and programs in collaboration with summer camp educators.
Oversee and plan before-and-after-camp activities.
Engage and supervise children in outdoor activities at Urban Ecology Center sites and/or green spaces around the Milwaukee metropolitan area.

What does a typical workday look like?
Condition & Location:

Open shared office workspace with an active team atmosphere.
Schedule:
Generally 8-hour days, beginning between 7:30-9am and ending between 4-5:30pm.

Overview

As a vital, integrated member of a multidisciplinary team, you'll collaborate with school teams and families in delivering SESI's proven, high-quality services-including individual or group counseling services.
Responsibilities
* Work with a diverse group of students from varying developmental, cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
* Provide individual, group, or push-in counseling services to students in accordance with their individualized education plan (IEP) or behavior intervention plan (BIP).
* Collaborate on creating IEPs, including social-emotional IEP goal setting and IEP meeting participation.
* Complete social-emotional and behavior assessments, analyze data to identify student strengths and weaknesses, and develop functional behavior assessments, BIPs, and other transition plans.
* Implement behavior management and intervention strategies, including de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and physical restraint when necessary to maintain the safety of students and staff.
* Support social-emotional learning skill development through targeted curricula, assessments, and more intensive behavior support as needed.
* Provide in-service training with other teams, including expressive therapy and clinical teams.
* Collaborate with external partners and providers to support students, families, and staff.

Qualifications
* Professional licensure, including LPC or LCPC, LSW or LCSW, LMFT
* Master's degree in social work, human services, or related field (mental health, psychology, counseling).
