The Bachelor or Associate's Level Social Work Intern will become familiar with the Zepf Center's mission, vision, and services through an array of trainings and shadowing opportunities. The Intern will gain an understanding of ethical practices and the Social Work code of conduct in day-to-day examples. The intern will work closely with supervisor and other staff to gain knowledge of the agency programming as well as basic social work skills. The person in this position provides services within Zepf facilities and, when appropriate, in the client's natural environment. The specialist will conduct evaluations using evidenced-based evaluation rating tools, will implement case and treatment plans and will delivery evidence-based substance abuse programming. The specialist will develop and implement therapeutic and behavioral interventions to improve a persons' in our care (PIOC) success in completing program requirements. Salary Information This position is in pay schedule and range 12-64 with a starting pay of $29.94/hour - $34.34/hour. This position may receive a $1.00 to $2.00 per hour add-on pay based on the type of SAC credential possessed at the time of hire. Candidates with no prior permanent employment with the State of Wisconsin in the past 5 years may be eligible to accept a sign-on bonus of $3,000. The sign-on bonus will be paid in two installments: $1500 on the first paycheck and $1500 with the paycheck for the pay period in which the employee attains permanent status (usually 1 year). (UW System employment isn't disqualifying.) To receive the bonus, a candidate must sign an agreement indicating they will remain in that position for a year. If the candidate leaves their position prior to completing the one year, they may be required to reimburse the initial payment. The Family Therapist is a vital member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, attending all treatment team meetings and actively participating. The Family Therapist coordinates communication between the treatment team and the family for the purpose of assessing patient needs and planning for discharge/necessary follow-up care. The Family Therapist provides support to the family and patient and acts as a liaison between community agencies to ensure seamless care for the patient during the inpatient stay and follow-up care post discharge. Minimum Qualifications: Education/experience/licensing: • State of Ohio, Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) required. • Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling required. • Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) preferred. • Previous social work experience in a health care setting preferred. • Competence in computer skills (Word, Excel, Internet and e-mail) required. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. • Must possess a high level of integrity in dealing with confidential data. • Flexibility in daily assignment as needed. • Adherence to principles of infection control as defined by risk assessment of the job. • Weekend/holiday rotation. Communication and other skills: • Able to communicate with patients and families both in writing and oral communication. • Understands the value of a multidisciplinary team and participates utilizing open communication with team members. • Communicate with team through accurate documentation.
