Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar license in Oregon; multi-state licensure a plus. 5-10 years' experience managing attorneys and legal counsel, preferably in workers' compensation. Strong expertise in workers' compensation litigation strategy, including complex cases. Deep knowledge of multi-state regulations, procedures, and compliance requirements in workers' compensation. Proficiency in medical reimbursement practices and their application in workers' compensation claims. Demonstrated ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on case management. Experience working with expert witnesses in litigation or claims resolution. Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills across teams and stakeholders. Proven ability to adapt quickly to evolving regulations and changing case dynamics. Must be based in the Portland metro area or able to commute regularly.

The Integrated Behavioral Health Counselor works as part of an interdisciplinary team supporting patients inside of Outside In's downtown primary care clinic. Primary duties include providing brief, solutions focused psychotherapy, assessment, skill development and access to resources as needed. This position acts as a consultant to the primary care provider, providing diagnosis and care plan input and management. Integrated Behavioral Health Counselors work to increase access of behavioral health services. Outside In works to provide high quality care focused to people who have current and historical barriers to accessing healthcare including trans and queer people, houseless people, immigrants, people with disabilities and chronic illness and people who use drugs. RCC uses verbal de-escalation tactics as well as treatments such as seclusion rooms and full-body restraints when necessary to ensure the safety of our clients. Assess the nature and extent of each patient's emotional, behavioral, MH, and/or COD presenting problem, and provide any brief interventions necessary, typically ranging from 1-5 face to face visits (with some ongoing telephonic outreach) to ensure behavioral barriers to appropriate care are reduced. Demonstrates awareness of co-occurring disorders and chronic conditions and how each impacts patient outcomes and care. SPECIFIC DUTIES - MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR: Assess the nature and extent of client's MH and COD presenting problem, formulate a plan for service that addresses MH and COD issues and their impact on client's interaction, and ensure complete and timely documentation pursuant to OAR 309.019.0140. Ensure productivity requirements are met by providing mental health treatment to individuals, couples, families, and groups that improve the client's level of functioning. As the RCC Social Service Assistant, you will schedule, coordinate, and supervise group activities at the RCC program. You will maintain consistency and safety among clients, observe and record behavior patterns, aid in service planning, and document necessary behaviors. You will help clients with skill-building and providing directions in performing daily housekeeping duties, chores, physical activity, recreation, hygiene, and school work. RCC, or the Regional Crisis Center, is a subacute residential facility where youth are placed directly from the Department of Human Services. RCC provides residential living facilities, mental health treatment, family counseling, substance use disorders treatment, and academic instruction to clients. RCC clients are often combative and have multiple mental or behavioral challenges. RCC uses verbal de-escalation tactics as well as treatments such as seclusion rooms and full-body restraints when necessary to ensure the safety of our clients. Eligibility for a QMHA certification is preferred. You must have prior experience working with combative at-risk youth, preferably in a residential setting OR experience working in a challenging, high-paced environment that can be applicable to this line of work. The ability to maintain strong professional boundaries and confidentiality is a must. You must also be able to pass crisis intervention training within your first month of employment. The Regional Crisis Center uses specific manual restraints as specified by the state, and the ability to perform these restraints is essential to the position. We'll teach you everything you need to know and all the Mad Science tricks before sending you off on your own.
