Providing operational support to all schools in the assigned area, focusing on academic achievement, behavioral support, staff retention, and development. Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) credential. Hold currently or have the ability to obtain a valid CA state driver's license. While most of the after-hours crisis intervention involves phone consultation only, there may be times when the situation rises to the level where on-site intervention after-hours is necessary. The after-hours on-call rotation counselor duties include, but are not limited to: consultation over the phone with the student and/or impacted individuals, coming to campus after-hours if necessary and timely responding as appropriate to de-escalate the crisis situation, based on the clinician's best clinical judgment, professional standards, and ethics. In the event where the counselor provides services outside of regular business hours, the counselor and the CAPS Director (or designee) may consider the time taken outside of the normal work schedule and the counselor's proposed adjustment to the work week schedule to an average of 40 hours of work for the impacted work week. Indirect Clinical Services Maintains records/case notes pertaining to client caseload and other service delivery. The On-Call SUD Counselor is a registered or certified substance use disorder professional who maintains registration from an approved/accredited California agency. . The El Monte FOTEP is a residential program serving women and children. All of the women that are enrolled in the program are on State parole and usually have extensive histories with the criminal justice system. Some of the women have co-occuring disorders that are managed by prescribed medications and individual therapy. The program is very fast paced and is a very structured environment. Key Responsibilities The primary duties of the Intake Counselor is to welcome new arrivals and complete the necessary paperwork to enroll them in the program. Our Camp Counselor positions have the potential to serve as competitively paid internships that meet your course credit needs. First and foremost, your primary responsibilities will be as a Camp Counselor. As an Intern, you will be expected to fulfill your regular daily job responsibilities and it will be up to you to complete your internship responsibilities and to ensure that they do not interfere with your work obligations. If KE Camps can meet your internship requirements, your on-site Camp Director will be your field supervisor and oversee your course work. You will also be connected to a KE Camps contact at our HQ in Skillman, NJ. To receive credit, you must complete the course, practicum or internship per your college's parameters and complete your summer employment. As a Camp Counselor, you will be an active participant in all camp activities and will assist your Camp Director with a variety of daily tasks, all with the goal of creating a memorable and meaningful camp experience for your campers. Our Counselors interact with our campers throughout the entire day, helping them make friends, try new things, and generally caring for their well-being. The role of a Counselor is to participate, build relationships and have fun while ensuring the physical and emotional safety of every child.
