We are currently seeking a dynamic and business savvy Counsel with significant experience handling complex technology and commercial contract matters.
In this role you'll have the opportunity to:

+ Provide strategic support and legal guidance in structuring, drafting, negotiating, and interpreting complex commercial agreements with vendors, partners, and other third parties in the areas of technology, including but not limited to software and hardware licensing and maintenance, e-commerce, SaaS/Cloud, and digital marketing.

+ Provide high quality, specialized and practical advice in business-to-business arrangements and advising on issues like IT consulting/outsourcing arrangements and software/hardware supply and implementation agreements.

+ Partner with business, compliance, and government relations stakeholders to engage, educate, and help guide regulatory and industry policy globally related to innovative technologies impacting the financial services industry.

+ Manage outside counsel to support the development, application and protection of Company patents.

+ Work with outside counsel and internal resources to provide day-to-day advice and strategic guidance regarding the domestic and international implementation of the Company's brand, including associated trademark and copyright related matters.

+ Support the Company's investments and acquisitions by conducting technology-related diligence on companies.

+ Build cross-functional teams with business, compliance, law and strategy partners to solve for novel legal issues presented by the application of new technologies in financial services.

We're looking for someone with:

+ Requires JD and 5+ years' experience as an attorney with technology expertise

+ Must be admitted to practice in the state employed within twelve months of hire

+ Requires knowledge of the relevant area of law and its application

+ Requires superior written and verbal communication skills

+ Must be able to apply knowledge of the law to make sound judgments, communicate, and interact with others in a professional manner

+ Some travel may be required

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

$127000 - $179000 / year

Location / Work Environment

This role offers the ability for in-office, hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements. You'll work with your leader to determine which option may align best based on several factors. Locations for hybrid talent include Des Moines.

Position Summary:

The Counselor Technician supervises and provides daily support to assigned program participants. This position is tasked with ensuring the safety of all program participants and ensuring compliance with WestCare policies and procedures. Essential Job Functions include those listed below.

Essential Job Functions:

+ Supervises program participants under the direction of the Program Director or designee, reporting unusual changes as they occur;

+ Facilitates mentoring, discipline, safety, and observation of participants;

+ Utilizes approved crisis intervention techniques to assist with de-escalation of situations, ensuring program participant, staff, and visitor safety;

+ Implements the behavioral/level system where applicable;

+ Assists with the initial assessment and receiving of new program participants;

+ Participates in 24/7 coverage by working a flexible schedule, properly tracking hours worked, and consistently arriving to scheduled shifts on time;

+ Transports participants to school or medical appointments as required (if authorized);

+ Monitors participant whereabouts to be sure they remain on WestCare property, or have appropriate paperwork needed to leave WestCare property;

+ Assists in the implementation of recreational activities for program participants, participating where appropriate;

+ Ensures the facility is kept clean and in working order;

+ Ensures participant medication is processed upon admission and given on time, in accordance with WestCare procedures;

+ Embraces and embodies the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Foundation;

+ Performs any other duties as assigned.

Certifications/Licensures:

+ Relevant certification and/or licensure ispreferred;preference will be given to certified candidates;

+ Valid drivers license and the ability to obtain and maintain WestCares vehicle insurance is required.

Education:

+ Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a degree in Counseling, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology or other field related to the position is preferred;

+ High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience and Competencies:

+ One (1) year of experience in a comparable position is required;

+ Two (2) or more years working in a behavioral health environment is preferred;

+ Experience working with individuals struggling with substance abuse and mental health disorders preferred;

+ Ability to form and maintain effective, professional, and positive relationships with staff, volunteers, and program participants required;

+ Ability to work well, both individually and as part of a team required;

+ Adherence to the highest standards of ethical conduct required;

+ Ability to exercise good judgement and discretion required;

+ Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor required;

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills required;

Working Conditions:

+ Work is primarily performed in an office or residential treatment setting;
