The Meat Counter Associate supports daily operations at the fresh meat service counter by providing excellent customer service, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and assisting with product handling and merchandising. Key Responsibilities
Customer Service

Food Safety & SQF Compliance

Clean and sanitize counters, equipment, tools, and work areas per SSOPs
Participate in required food safety and SQF training
Report potential food safety hazards or deviations to management
Team & Store Support
Work cooperatively with meat department team members
Assist in receiving, stocking, and inventory organization as needed
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Support a positive, respectful workplace culture
Qualifications
Previous retail, food service, or meat department experience preferred (not required)
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Basic math skills for weighing and pricing
Willingness to learn meat cuts, food safety practices, and SQF standards
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Lift, push, or pull up to 4050 lbs with or without assistance
Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
Ability to work in cold or refrigerated environments
Work Environment

Assist clerical staff with daily office routines as requested to include, but not limited to;
U.S. and inter-office mail distribution;
Any building mailings for staff and/or students;
Daily and year-end filing and storage of forms/files as needed by clerical team;
Process kindergarten, new student/withdrawn student files, as instructed;
Assist with student permanent files as needed;
Answering phones and distributing messages as needed; and
Copying, laminating, sorting and preparing materials for classrooms.
Be directly responsible for maintaining copy machines throughout the building which includes filling copiers with toner, calling for repairs, reporting copy counts, etc.
Assist librarian in literacy instruction and provide services as directed to individuals and/or small groups of students when time permits.
Assist in receiving, cataloging and shelving supplies arriving at the Library on a time available basis.
Abide by the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the Warren City School District Board of Education.
