Senior Clinical Therapist LPCC, LMFT or LCSW Blythe Behavioral Health Clinic, Blythe, CA The Blythe Behavioral Health Clinic provides Behavioral Health treatment services to children, teen, adults and older adults in the community. This position will provide supervision to Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) registered associates and student interns, carry a small caseload, and act as a lead when the supervisor is unavailable. The position will also provide individual/family therapy services, group therapy, crisis management and linking to resources. Some driving may be required to attend trainings therefore a California Drivers License is required.
Under direction, performs the full range of therapeutic assignments related to the field of mental or behavioral health services and psychiatric social work, which includes the design and implementation of personalized treatment plans, individual and group psychotherapy, evaluations and investigations, and professional counseling, as applicable by professional licensing law, in order to meet the needs of consumers or families with mental or emotional disorders; and performs other related duties as required.
The Senior Clinical Therapist is the lead/advanced journey level of the Clinical Therapist series. The Senior Clinical Therapist class has responsibility for providing clinical supervision, according to licensure and training, over unlicensed clinical staff. This classification is also responsible for performing, within the scope of licensure, the full range of psychotherapy and counseling services for individual consumers, couples, families, and groups exhibiting a variety of mental health and related disorders in a clinic or institutional setting. Assignments range from moderately difficult to the most complex and include serving in a lead capacity over and providing consultative support to other mental health treatment staff.
This classification is distinguished from the class of Mental Health Services Supervisor in that the latter class is the first line supervisor responsible for the planning or implementation of specialized mental health services. The Senior Clinical Therapist is further distinguished from the Clinical Therapist II in that the former is the lead level and may provide extensive clinical supervision, according to licensure and training, over unlicensed clinical staff.
Meet the Team• Provide extensive clinical supervision to unlicensed clinicians, within the scope of licensure.
• Monitor fidelity and provide clinical supervision and coaching for evidence based treatment models.
• Develop mental health related training curriculum and conduct training for clinical therapists and other departmental staff.
• Conduct clinical and quality improvement chart audits.
• Coordinate clinical decisions in response to operational demands.
• Conduct clinical discussions regarding complex or difficult cases.
• Act as a casework consultant to other clinical therapists and other departmental staff.
• Provide guidance to volunteers and staff.
• Serve as liaison with other sections, units, services, and agencies.
• Participate in mental health conferences and local area committees.
• Interview consumers, relatives, and other involved persons to gather personal and social data relevant to assessing mental or emotional disorders.
• Develop service plans with consumers; evaluate psychological, economic, vocational, educational, physical, health, socialization, and housing needs.
• Coordinate with other staff members (psychiatrists, psychologists, and other program staff) and community agencies in carrying out and designing treatment or rehabilitation plans.
• Assist consumers and other concerned individuals in understanding the nature of major psychological illnesses and their psychosocial effects.
• Assist consumers and their families in understanding and choosing options of mental health treatment.
• Initiate and conduct individual, collateral, group, and family therapy sessions.
• Perform specialized tasks including involuntary hospitalization procedures (5150) and Tarasoff assessments.
• Establish and maintain effective contact with local area mental health resources, including community members, parents, schools, residential facilities, and other agencies/organizations.
• Prepare reports and write correspondence.
• Respond to emergencies, within licensure, which may occur on the unit.
• Coordinate the flow of information and clinical data to ensure continuity in treatment or shift.Experience: Two years of post-license professional experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting providing direct client services which must have included: client assessment and evaluation, development and implementation of appropriate treatment plans, providing psychotherapy or mental health counseling, and providing indirect services involving information, consultation, and educational services to staff and community.
AND
License: Possession of a valid license to practice as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage Family Therapist issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences .
Knowledge of: Psychological aspects of physical and emotional disturbances and mental deficiencies; characteristics of emotional and mental disorders including their effect on the individual in the community; mental health local community resources and community support systems; principles of clinical interviewing and methods of recording consumer information; individual licensing law and the scope of professional practice governed by the same; laws, rules, and regulations of publicly operated health and welfare programs; principles and techniques for making psychosocial assessments.
Ability to: Effectively apply the principles and techniques of clinical therapy, including a variety of treatment modalities; analyze consumer behavior and apply treatment or counseling techniques in a coordinated care social rehabilitation environment; speak and write effectively; provide crisis intervention; prepare clear and concise reports and interpret data; work effectively with a multicultural consumer and family population with diverse backgrounds and needs; establish and maintain effective working relationships with consumers, their families, other staff members, and mental health organizations/ agencies; provide work direction and training to staff; establish and maintain effective working relationships with other professionals and to work as part of a multidisciplinary team; communicate the goals and objectives of the County's mental and behavioral health services to members of the community and other interested individuals; consult with and assist in the professional development and supervision of unlicensed clinical therapists, within the scope of appropriate licensure, and other mental health support staff.License: Possession of a valid California Driver's License is required for this position.

Job Description
San Francisco Health Network Community Primary Care (SFHN CPC) division is hiring part-time 2565 Acupuncturists.
Essential Duties
Under the direction of the lead acupuncturist and acupuncturist medical supervisor, the acupuncturist works within an organized system for the delivery of health care in association with other members of the health care team and performs specialized duties in clinical settings. Care may be delivered in individual and/or group visits.
Performs intake evaluation of clients for acupuncture treatment. Develops treatment plans and provides acupuncture treatment to clients.
Keeps charts of treatments and discharges patients from treatment. Maintains records for services rendered.
As a member of a multi-disciplinary health team, collaborates with other staff in working with clients. Engages in mutual consultation with staff physicians regarding medical and psychiatric issues.
Provides in-service training to staff regarding cases appropriate for acupuncture referral. Participates in staff and intake meetings.
Performs related duties, including counseling of clients. Provides information, education, and publicity to the public regarding acupuncture services.
Maintains acupuncture equipment and inventory of supplies.

The DanceTherapist works under the administrative supervision of the Program Assistant and under the general lead and clinical direction of the Chief, Rehabilitation Therapy Service.
The successful candidate must possess and demonstrate: knowledge of the principles, procedures, techniques, trends, and literature of Rehabilitation Therapy services, especially those relating to mental, physical, developmental, and/or geriatric disabilities, knowledge of the process of restoration, maintenance and development of capabilities, knowledge of the principles of mental health education, the scope and activities of private and public health and welfare agencies, characteristics of mental, emotional, physical, and developmental disorders, current trends in mental health, public health and public welfare, federal and state programs in these fields, ability to utilize and effectively apply required knowledge, establish and maintain the confidence and cooperation of persons contacted in the workplace, ability to secure accurate clinical data and record such data systematically, compose clear, accurate and concise reports, interpret statistical data, analyze situations accurately and take effective action, ability to communicate effectively.

The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join their team at the Stabilization Training Assistance Reintegration (STAR) Acute Crisis Homes. As a member of the STAR team, you will work to provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities during times of acute crisis. This role requires individuals who are passionate about person-centered care, and who are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for individuals with disabilities. STAR currently provides assistance to adolescents (11-17 years old) and adults (18 years of age and older) who are receiving regional center services. The STAR homes are four to five bed homes in community settings (Vacaville, Springville, and Costa Mesa).
As a member of the DDS STAR team, you will work in a community home setting where you will be responsible for assisting individuals with activities of daily living, providing emotional support, and promoting independence. Limited Term 12 months; may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent. Effective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented. Effective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of an approved clinical internship in the appropriate rehabilitation specialty in an approved hospital or rehabilitation center affiliated with the college.
(Individuals who are registered or certified with the appropriate therapy association but who have not completed a clinical internship because it was not a component of the academic program at the time are required to have completed a minimum of two years' full-time paid experience in a clinical, residential, or community-based setting after receipt of the required degree to be admitted into the exam.)
Equivalent to graduation from a recognized college with major work in music therapy, or registration with the American Music Therapy Association, or eligibility for such registration.

Under general direction, plan, direct and supervise personnel of the rehabilitation therapy program of a state facility; coordinate rehabilitation activities with other interdisciplinary services of the facility; perform rehabilitation therapy work; and do other related work. Responsibility may extend to all work shifts. Responsible for Rehabilitation/Music/Art Therapists who provide recreational/music/art activities and leisure resources to improve health and quality of life.
Rehabilitation Therapist specializing in mental and/or intellectual disabilities applies therapeutic rehabilitation knowledge, activites, and techniques to support adults facing cognitive, emotional, and/or behavioral challenges. The therapist works to enhance their individuals' functional abilities, independence, and quality of life through structured interventions, therapy programs, and skill-builiding exercises. Assess individual needs, determine appropriate habilitative/rehabilitative objectives, and develop activities to meet these objectives; work with members of the interdisciplinary team (IDT) to reinforce other treatment modalities; re-evaluate these plans on a regular basis.

General Statement of Duties: Recreation/Music Therapy uses recreational/music activities and leisure resources to improve health and quality of life. These leisure opportunities will focus on helping the individual develop motor skills, social skills, and sensory functioning, needed for community integration. Through leisure counseling and activities, clients are encouraged to make healthy decisions to cope with stress, emotions and peers. Activities are used to to develop skills in leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship, self-esteem, and to help maintain clients' social, cognitive, physical and emotional well-being. Rehabilitation Therapists will apply therapeutic habilitation knowledge, activities and techniques to the problems of mental or intellectual disabilities found in adults; assess individual needs, determine appropriate habilitative/rehabilitative objectives and develop activities to meet these objectives; work with members of the interdisciplinary team to reinforce other treatment modalities; re-evaluate these plans on a regular basis.

Working Conditions
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Regular interaction with clients and staff in monitoring provision of direct services and other conditions common to on and off residence training environments. Staying at work area for periods of time on a residence or training site where a client may be receiving training or services. Work is performed at a level that requires the individual to be constantly alert. May spend time performing custody tasks which includes escorting forensic clients in the facility; counting, distributing, and accounting for all utensils to prevent their use as weapons; inspecting facilities to identify security breaches that could lead to the escape of a forensic client; and observing and intervening in forensic client behavior that may injure people, damage property, or signal impending escape attempts. Provides group therapy in recreation, music therapy and other areas as needed to a group of clients. May be required to work with clients with identified problems of aggression. Must participate in meetings and conferences and other conditions common to an office environment and make effective use of equipment for report writing and data collection. All Therapists: Completion of an approved clinical internship in the appropriate rehabilitation specialty in an approved hospital or rehabilitation center affiliated with the college. The Clinical Psychology Intern is an individual who is currently enrolled in a doctoral program in clinical psychology at a recognized university or professional school. The clinical psychology internship provides the final required year of applied clinical service in psychology training.
As an Affiliate Member of DSH-Metropolitan Psychology Services, the Clinical Psychology Intern adheres to the following: Psychology Service Rules and Regulations, Medical Staff Bylaws, Administrative Directives, and all DSH-Metropolitan policies and procedures. The Clinical Psychology Intern aspires to the highest standards of the profession through efforts to practice in accordance with the American Psychological Association's Ethical Guidelines, Specialty Guidelines, and Standards for Providers of Psychological Services. The Clinical Psychology Intern familiarizes herself/himself with, and conforms psychology practices, to the laws and regulations governing the practice of psychology in the state of California.
During the course of training, the Clinical Psychology Intern is expected to develop the skills and expertise required of the journeyman level clinical psychologist, with some specialized skills in the area of forensic psychology and treatment of the severely mentally ill. The internship is a training program; as such, the Clinical Psychology Intern is not privileged to practice independently within DSH-Metropolitan. All direct psychological services are provided under the supervision, hospital privileges, and professional license of a Staff Psychologist (Health Facility - Clinical), Senior Psychologist Specialist, or Senior Psychologist Supervisor. All written work products, including reports, consultation, and progress notes, are counter signed by the licensed psychologist who provided clinical supervision for that work.

Working Conditions
The employee is required to work any shift and schedule in a variety of settings throughout the hospital and may be required to work overtime and float to other work locations as determined by the operational needs of the hospital.
