The County of Riverside - Riverside University Health System (RUHS) - Community Health Centers (CHC) is currently recruiting for a RegisteredNurse III MC/CHC to join the CHC Administration team located in Riverside. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, The RegisteredNurse III MC/CHC will collaborate closely with nursing leadership to coordinate and deliver in-sevice training for clinic staff and Lead RN's. The RN will assist with onboarding and orientation of new clinical staff, competency skills validation; creating, reviewing, and maintaining policies and training materials; and travel to various Community Health Center (CHC) sites to conduct in-person training.
The most competitive candidate will have RN experience, demonstrated experience in education and clinical training, and a valid California driver's license.
Required License and Certification:
* A current and valid license to practice as a RegisteredNurse in the State of California.
* A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Work Schedule:
9/80, Monday - Friday with every other Friday off
Hours: 7:30 am to 5:00pm

* Assess, plan, organize, and provide nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with physician instructions; make preliminary observations of patients and prepare patients for medical treatment.
* Assist physicians in administering treatments and in performing medical examinations, diagnostic tests and surgical operations.
* Administer prescribed treatment and medications, including dispensing, as ordered to patients; chart treatment of patients; record and report significant changes in condition and general progress of patients.
* Counsel and advise patients, families and significant others regarding special medical problems and/or proper healthcare methods.
* Prepare and maintain concise and complete records and reports; instruct patients in carrying out physician's orders; transcribe physician's orders to working records.
* Provide orientation and training to new staff, residents, medical students, Regional Occupational Program (ROP) participants and nursing students.

* Assign and monitor, the work of subordinate nursing personnel; participate in committee activities; identify staff training needs.

* Coordinate and monitor patients through the hospitalization process utilizing physicians, primary care nurses and third-party payors to maintain quality care and fiscal responsibility.
* Review the post hospital care plan with the patient,/family establishing a contact regarding timeframes and responsibilities; follow care plan through patient discharge.
RegisteredNurse III MC/CHC:
Salary Range: $51.12 to $77.15 per hour
Education: Successful completion of the education required to obtain a valid license to practice as a RegisteredNurse in the State of California. (A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in nursing or a health-related field may be required for some positions.)
Experience: Equivalent to three years of full time experience as a RegisteredNurse in an acute care facility or community health agency with references and evaluations to show appropriate skill level. (A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in nursing or a national certification in a nursing specialty may be substituted for one year of the required experience. A master's degree from an accredited college or university in nursing may be substituted for two years of the required experience.)
Knowledge of: Current principles, techniques and procedures used in professional nursing; medical terminology and patient care routine appropriate to clinical setting; medical instruments and equipment; the uses and effects of medicines and narcotics; community resources available to provide patient care and follow-up; federal, state and local laws and regulations governing professional aspects of nursing; identification of potential discharge needs; payor source documentation requirements and governmental regulations affecting reimbursement.

Working Conditions
The employee is required to work any shift and schedule in a variety of settings throughout the hospital and may be required to work overtime and float to other work locations as determined by the operational needs of the hospital.
All state civil service employees are currently subject to a mandatory Personal Leave Program (PLP). The PLP program reduces the monthly gross salary but provides PLP leave credits in lieu of pay. The amount of salary reduction depends on the classification and associated union Bargaining Unit (BU). Wayfinder Family Services is hiring Camp Nurses (LVN or RN) for our 2026 summer camp season. Camp Bloomfield serves children, youth, adults, and families who are blind, visually impaired, or have multiple disabilities. Wayfinder's Camp Bloomfield is a residential summer camp, where campers and staff live on-site for the full duration of each session. Our camp nurse provides medical care and health support throughout the day and evening, ensuring the well-being of campers and staff at all times during their stay at camp.
Camp Nurses are essential to the safety and success of our programs. In addition to providing medical care and emergency response, nurses are responsible for training and refreshing staff on first aid and CPR, as well as helping counselors prepare for the specific needs of their campers. Qualifications
Education and Experience:
An associate's degree from an accredited college or university or LVN equivalent is required.
Current CPR, First Aid and AED certification, required.
At least one year of supervisory experience, required.
Ability to oversee and supervise small and large groups in camp and cabin activities.
Prior resident camp experience is desirable.
Desire to work with children, teens, and adults who are blind, visually impaired, and multi-disabled.

The RegisteredNurse is under the direct supervision of the Unit Supervisor. Positions filled as Limited- Term may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.
Candidates should be able to manage a high paced psychiatric environment. The position requires the ability to prioritize assignments and multitask efficiently. Therapeutic Strategy Intervention (TSI) skills are essential to this position. Teamwork is also essential in this high-paced position. Candidates should have excellent assessment and communication skills. Job duties will include processing newly admitted patients, finger printing, processing identification badges, registering patients into the Department of Justice (DOJ) database, processing patient property and escorting patients to their assigned home unit.
This position is 0800-1630, Monday through Friday with weekend off, but schedules may be changed to meet the needs of the hospital. This position is considered an off-unit assignment and will participate in the holiday scheduling process. This requires working two (2) major holidays and one (1) high need day per year.

PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Primary Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities

Position Summary
Under the general supervision of the Senior Associate Vice President or designee, and the direct supervision of the Director of Clinical Operations with oversight of the Medical Director, this position functions as a RegisteredNurse (RN). The RegisteredNurse (RN) primary responsibility is to conduct initial nursing triage assessments for walk-in, telehealth, urgent, and scheduled visits to determine acuity and appropriate level of care, provide responsive, sound, and accurate medical triage and assessment of patients. They stay current on research, educational trends, and policies pertaining to school nursing; act as the Division and CDE School Nurse lead; guide LEAs on coordinating school health programs; maintain program web pages; and disseminate best practices, resources, and guidance through newsletters, listservs, and social media. • Consult with the resident, his/her family, and the resident's physician in planning the resident's care, treatment, rehabilitation, etc., as necessary.
• Notify the resident's attending physician and next-of-kin when there is a change in the resident's condition.
• Visit residents on a daily basis in order to observe and evaluate each resident's physical and emotional status.
• Ensure that direct nursing care be provided by a licensed nurse, a certified nursing assistant, and/or a nurse aide trainee qualified to perform the procedure.
